One of the bigger problem facing Tomorrowland's around the world today is their version of Autopia and the fact that it doesn't really fit in anymore. But instead of taking it out completely, how about redoing it to fit into fantasyland? It was a Fantasyland attraction at some point in Disneyland before, so it's not a stretch to believe that it can work, and seeing as an original concept was for a Rock Candy Mountain for a Casey Jr attraction at DL but now that we have Wreck-it Ralph, how about using the game Sugar Rush as a theme? Presenting....
Sugar Rush Speedway
Welcome to the colorful world of sugar rush. Here guest will be invited to race in and around the world of Sugar Rush in either a calm slow ride or a higher speed racing experience. Everything will be designed to look like it was made of candy and transport you to the sugary world of Sugar Rush.
Exterior/Queue:
To start guest off on their sugar rush, they will enter the Kart Factory, where the bulk of the queue will be. Guest will choose their ride type (between either Fast Lane racing or the Slow and Steady Race) before entering the Kart factory, walking through several rooms influenced by the movie, where they will be able to help create karts while waiting in line. Ralph and Vanellope will appear to keep guest in line entertained (think like Mr. Potatohead) while waiting for the attraction. Their dialog will be a mix of non interactive (to help sell the story of the attraction) as well as interactive parts with a larger amount of dialog than Potatohead so it'll be less likely that guest will hear the same dialog upon revisits. Soon after guest exit the factory, they will embark through an outdoor portion to get to the stadium (which will be where the current one is) to board their race karts where the race will begin.
Ride Vehicles:
The vehicles for the attraction will be a mix of Karts designed straight from the movie and originally created ones for the attraction. Each kart will hold 2 guest (or a small party of 3) and will be electric cars rather than the current gasoline guzzler cars. There will be 2 types of karts for the race matching to the 2 different types of experiences guest can have, meaning there will be karts for the slower kid friendly race and karts for the faster race that will travel with a test track-like track (with the slot in the middle to prevent guests from bumping into others and the track). For the faster race, karts won't be able to stop after the race starts till the end of the race to prevent traffic jams along the way.
The Story:
The main story of the attraction will wrap around a "visitors day" at Sugar Rush where they allow anyone who wants to come and race in the game. Most of the story will be told in the queue to allow for guests on the ride to concentrate more on the experience and sights of the attraction.
The Ride:
As previously mentioned, there will be 2 different types of ride experiences for this attraction: a slower ride similar to the current TL Speedway but traveling around the area (mainly for the littler ones), and a fast race for older kids/teens/adults though it won't go too fast. Each version will have 2 tracks and will load 2 vehicles at the same time that will race along the track through the locations of Sugar Rush
- Experience A: The Gumdrop Sprint (aka the slower race)- Racers who choose this experience will experience a ride similar to the current Autopia-like attractions while traveling through the world of Sugar Rush. The layout will intertwine with the bigger race (but will mainly be under it) and both rides will meet up in the caves of the Rainbow Caverns (that rainbow road like part seen in the movie after the snowy mountains part where Vanellope seemed to be winning) along with the WDWRR, effectively adding a new scene to the railroad. After exiting the caves, the tracks will connect to form the 4 lane race track before reaching the stadium.
- Experience B: The Grand Prix (aka the faster race)- For those seeking a more thrilling experience, The Grand Prix experience will be the ride for you. This will essentially be a real life version of the race seen in the movie (but more realistic) and will take up most of the space of the attraction. There will be some use of projections in this version (mainly the firing from the cannon scene) but most of the ride will use practical sets and effects.
