Well...it's signaling a change in direction due to the contrast with Dumbos Space Spinner:

Such a clash... I hope they're planning to get rid of the Astro Orbitor sooner than later because that concept art is a mess.

So they used the old backdrop, and? That doesn't indicate anything other than they are lazy with their concept art. Rocket Rod (or Peoplemover for that matter) cannot come back without a major tear down and rebuild of the track. Which would require it to be brought up to 2019 ADA standards. Which would require they rebuild a lot of the buildings since the clearance isn't up to standards. Sorry it ain't happening, at least not in the current project. If and that's a big IF they do a complete tear down of TL, then I could see something happening. But I'd rather them do Tron or some other attraction then to bring back a failed attraction.
I bet the artist that made that concept art has never step foot in Disneyland. Probably works in Florida.

They probably weren't planning on publishing anything until people online kept saying "That's it? Just grass?!"

It's funny because the grass itself didnt bother me as much as this does. You're probably right. It's just making a bigger deal about it that makes it seem underwhelming.

The 2010 ADA Design Standards don’t define reach envelopes for ride vehicles.

If you say so, you probably know better than I do. But this has always been one of the things brought up when talk about reviving PM/RR has come up on these and other boards.

@Darkbeer1 would know better than I would what the specific requirements are that Disney would have to follow for PM or RRs to come back.

Either way it doesn't really matter as we both know that PM/RR (at least in this iteration) is never coming back. Besides George doesn't really care.

I disagree. I think we are Slowly entering into a new era of human consciousness.
Well this is a different topic not for this thread. But my belief is that eventually we'll move our consciousness away from our corporeal form. This means the physical plain doesn't need to be anything more than a cold sterile environment as we won't be physically in it.
