Been so busy I have not had a free moment to start but here we go........
It has always been a bucket list item to visit all of the Disney parks and we had previously discussed going for my wife's 40th birthday (2025).
Backstory: We scored "cheap airfare" on Black Friday shopping 2016 on slickdeals for ANA flights to Narita from LAX. 5 min of discussion and we locked in the flight purchase . 30 min later we were second guessing "OMG what have we done". Originally this was going to be a mom/dad only trip but circumstances forced Grandparents to move out of the state prior meant we needed to add our DD4 to the mix (not a problem at all lol). We added the plane tix and went into passport acquisition mode ASAP. One trip to DFW later we had passport and Global Entry secured for the little rascal.
Thus began our journey... As the months went by and hours upon hours of planning began to take shape. We booked our flight to Tokyo on my wife's birthday :-( so we unfortunately would be traveling most of the day and unable to celebrate properly.
Getting ready to go somewhere. She had no idea what was in store
Fully decked out and ready for the first flight.
Arrived in LA for the night. The next morning was time to start our long journey.
Made it to LA and getting ready for the next flight
Already too old to want to hang out with the 'rents'. We are not cool enough
Here we go!
Pillow(check), headphones (check), blanket (check), crazy hair (check)......
That's not Pinot Grigio and she is not watching MSNBC
Breakfast time! Those eggs are traveling at 652mph (hence the blur)
Beer for breakfast? Don't judge me
Who doesn't like ice cream?
So remember when I mentioned it was my wife's birthday. Well I figured since she would miss out the entire day due to travel/time changes I reached out to ANA and worked with them to see if they could make her day extra special while at 40+K ft. They went above and beyond and made the occasion extra special . Cake/chocolate/champagne/card/cutlery ahhhhh the 5 C's
Dinnertime!!! It was very good.
Getting very close!
First looks
Made it!
When you realize you never want to go back home....
And with a toilet pic I will stop for now... More to come
