Toad Revamp

I honestly don't know what they could do for Toad to enhance it. Isn't it almost entirely made of flats because of space considerations?

Perhaps enhanced fire effects in Hell would be nice, but I'd honestly prefer they work on Pinocchio first before Toad.
I love Pinocchio and think it's near-perfect as is. 😭 How would you enhance Pinocchio? I'd love to see them lose the over use of black light in both.

A few choice scenes would look nice with some tasteful and thematically appropriate projection effects, ala 'Alice in Wonderland's recent refresh.
Subtle effects to add some animation / movement to the already present set pieces and flats.

Imagine flickering flames in Hell, perhaps some scared birds fluttering off in the woodland scene, water effects dockside, etc.

If 'Toad' is touched, it's gotta be tasteful and well done.
Or fans will literally raise Hell...not just ride through it !

Given that Snow White recently got a surprisingly delightful revamp, what would you like to see for Toad?
I’d like to see Toad left completely alone.

I think the revamp of Snow White is ruined by the ridiculous 2nd half (the first half has some nice ideas). But the ride’s stupid, infantile, gutless new name speaks volumes about how shallow and soulless the current Disney corporation has become.

So I’m going to cherish my memories of fun, weird, freaky Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride before it gets blanderized into oblivion by Bob’s Blue Meanies.

Hell to be replaced by a Toad’s Birthday Party scene in 3... 2... 1...

I don't mind the black light at all; I'd actually be very disappointed if they removed it (look what happens to dark rides without it a la Little Mermaid). I think there's opportunities for enhancing the feel of Pleasure Island which has always felt a little lifeless to me. I also think the Blue Fairy effect is a blink and you'll miss it moment and I hope they'd take the opportunity to redo it a bit.

Okay... after my previous rant, I actually do have a few suggestions for improvements, including an adjustment to the ending that I think would make nearly everyone happy:

1) Do something scarier/more interesting with the Moley-at-the-table room.

2) Bring back the motorcycle cop scene. The farmer/sheep that replaced it isn’t nearly as good.

3) Put back the dock crate lowering towards riders’ heads.

4) Additional scene at end. Okay. Shorten hell just a bit. Eliminate the dragon chamber and put the dragon where the little demon mist projections that never work are. And, heck, make hell scarier with thunder and lightning effects. And then, past new show doors that open to the final couple of turns....

Hear me out: We’re in Toad’s study. Ratty (skeptical), Mole (concerned) and MacBadger (fuming) stand on either side of Toad, who is waking up in an arm chair and exclaiming, “GAD! THAT WAS GLORIOUS!!!” Because Toad never learns. Ever.

So, in one brief addition, we’ve kept hell, tied the ride perfectly to the movie and book and provided a smooth, logical segue back to the Toad Hall unload zone. And because Toad hasn’t learned a thing, it’s both funny AND provides a subversive twist on the endings of most other Disney dark rides.

Agreed. Or they could, now sit down for this one... just fix and maintain the original effects installed in 1982.

The fiber optics throughout, the projections, the working water fountains, the moving props, the steam and heat.

I think they used to call that "Routine Maintenance", but that's an old term from the 20th century that's a bit foggy for me. And TDA.

Yeah, let’s go with that. They’ve got enough irons burning on an out-of-control wildfire as it is.

Finish Toon Town, Splash, Marvel, and maybe get back up to sufficient staff levels first. Heck if we even want to spend frivolously maybe even give your cast members a very modest one time COVID hazard pay bonus.

Ok the last one was clearly a joke… I kid Chapek…. just throwing out ideas for how to “waste” money.
