Trip Report To Walt Disney World...and beyond! *COMPLETED!*

We’re back from a wonderful 10 days of pure Disney life! What could be better than an anniversary-turned-engagement celebration at the Happiest Place on Earth? There’s so much to be encompassed in this trip report – so let’s get started!

Pre-Trip Report here: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/2-peas-in-a-disney-pod.884811/

The cast: Me and the fiancé "J". Both 24 years old. Both Disney crazed. This was our 5th trip in a row together!

Travel dates: September 4th - September 13th - All Star Sports.

We woke up at 3:30 AM to get to the airport in time for our 6 AM flight! When going to Disney World, this is not a problem. :) After a safe and uneventful flight with a flight attendant who kept proclaiming he 'loved us' and 'meant it', we arrived at MCO a little before 9. I was so giddy - practiced my powerwalking skills through MCO. It was GO TIME!

IMG_6105.JPG

What's better than being in Disney World? Seeing this sign - then being in Disney World!

IMG_6106.JPG

We arrived at All Star Sports and it finally started hitting me: we were here! The noise and smells (the good kind) from the food court flooded our ears. We were assisted by a very kind CM during check in, and may have been a little too quick at snatching this little beauty from her hands in all my excitement...

IMG_6112.JPG

We weren't surprised to find out that our room wasn't ready yet...it wasn't even 11 AM yet. We were surprised, however, to see that our room would be in Surf's Up (preferred building). Since we only use our resort room for a few hours of sleep, we always go with standard to save a few bucks. But hey, I guess this could classify as a 'room upgrade'. Thanks Disney!

From check in, we headed to the bus stop for Animal Kingdom. I absolutely love getting almost a full day of park fun in on the first day! In little to no time, we were here.

Animal Kingdom 005.JPG

Animal Kingdom 006.JPG
Animal Kingdom 007.JPG

Animal Kingdom 010.JPG

We took our time strolling through the beautiful Oasis. As this was our first time experiencing MyMagic and MagicBands, we tried our best to reserve judgment on the system until we dealt with it firsthand. I must say, it felt nice knowing we had three FPs already reserved and that missing rope drop on the first day wouldn't be so rough.

Animal Kingdom 018.JPG

But we really didn't need to worry. Animal Kingdom was pretty deserted. Expedition Everest advertised a 5 minute wait at 11:30 AM, and the whole process probably took just about that.

Animal Kingdom 022.JPG

*That feeling you get as the car rolls up and you're about to step onto the ride for the first time.*

There are no words to describe how spiraling backwards and upwards on a roller coaster feels. Well maybe 'AWESOME' could, but I feel it doesn't do Everest enough justice.

With the first ride of Disney World Extravaganza 2014 under our belts, our tummies began to rumble. It was time to find some sustenance and do what we do best - EAT! Our dinner reservations later that night was a biggie, so we tried to eat light. And we ended up eating something we could very well eat at home. But we love the cousins of Panda Express, so Yak & Yeti Local Foods it was!

Animal Kingdom 039.JPG

Mmm...Orange Chicken. Sometimes you just need that in your life. Lunch entertainment was provided by a few very brave and bold ducks. :)

The Frozen Sing-a-long looks so much better than I had anticipated! Now I'll try to squeeze it in since it looks like it'll still be on!
Yes, it was actually quite entertaining and a lot less cheesy than I imagined it would be. :)

We RAN. We ran through Streets of America in the downpour. I felt like some hardcore marathon runner jogging through the streets of NYC. I couldn't stop giggling as I trailed J en route to Sci-Fi Dine In Theater. It was freezing inside and there were a lot people cramped in that small lobby. Luckily we were right on time for our reservation and were seated almost immediately. My arms were so soaking wet that I went to the bathroom to towel myself off. I returned, as dry as I could be under the circumstances, to this front seat view:
201.JPG
I haven't been to Sci Fi since I was probably 12 - I forgot how cool it was! The high fences, sparkling sky, and the occasional sound of car engines puttering - I probably spent more time taking in my surroundings than I did watching the horror movie (and randomly some Tom & Jerry?) clips that were playing on the screen.
203.JPG

199.JPG

This was probably J's most anticipated meal - and it did not fail to deliver. For an Oreo-addict (he once bought Oreo-flavored Oreos), this Oreo Milkshake was a piece of heaven.
206.JPG

But the real reason why we came here...
208.JPG

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, The Famous All American Picnic Burger.
A hamburger, topped with a pickle, onions, sauerkraut, and none other than...a hot dog.
While researched ADRs months ago, the moment J saw this, he knew he had to have it. He thoroughly enjoyed himself and now proclaims Sci-Fi his favorite meal of the trip. (Just wait and see how many ADRs we still had to go and you will find this hard to believe).
209.JPG

Continuing my love for sauerkraut, I chose The Reuben. It was very tasty, though by the end of the meal, I did not think I could consume any more oils or grease. Also, I knocked over a cup of ice water during this meal. As if I wasn't already wet enough! Our waitress was very kind and helpful about it though. I felt bad!

Miraculously, we were able to walk after that meal, and exited the restaurant to find that the rain had stopped.
217.JPG

I still can't believe I'm in Florida and not New York. So. Cool.

We wandered over to One Man's Dream. I hope most people don't skip over this place. There's actually a lot of interesting things to see!
229.JPG

Walt's Office
235.JPG

New Fantasyland has been in the works for a long time now. There's something so fulfilling about knowing that we would finally see it completed in all it's glory after coming year after year, but only experiencing it in bits and pieces.
233.JPG
Last year, we saw this wastebasket display with three crumpled up pieces of paper in it. J was convinced that it was a Hidden Mickey. His reasoning is that there are three circles and they arranged like so. I wasn't so sure. Why would they not angle it so that you can see it head on when glancing at it? WE NEED YOUR HELP! Any opinions?

It was time to gear up for the most anticipated event of the night...
258.JPG

Fireworks at Hollywood Studios!!! OH HAPPY DAY!

At first, we were confused as to where we should stand or what we should be looking at. There was a stage show, but also a big video screen near the Tips and Show Times that allowed us to see what was going on up there without being in that huge throng. We ended up standing on the sidewalk just before the second wave of shops. It framed Hollywood Boulevard and the Sorcerer's Hat very well.

The stage show was cool and all, but the fireworks were even better. They were high up in the sky, yet it felt so close, and they more colorful, fitting, and magical than I could ever have imagined.
259.JPG

260.JPG

263.JPG

266.JPG

And of course...MORE SNOW!!!

Probably one of my most favorite moments of this amazing trip. I will surely not forget this day. :)

It took us 4 days, but we were finally going to the greatest of the them all...Magic Kindom!
018.JPG

I'm walking right down the middle of Main Street, USA!!! The music gave us that extra pep in our morning step. The smells of the bakery stimulated my senses. Magic Kingdom was decked out in fall gear and boy does it rock it!

People always ask me, "don't you get bored of Disney?"
031.JPG

No, my friends, I do not. I will never get bored of Disney. Yes, the old is so very cherished (and unparalleled), but there is always something new to discover. For example, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. The last piece of New Fantasyland, finally complete and ready to take us on an adventure!

Disney, continuing their tradition of creating those not-your-average-wait-forever-in-line-lines.
047.JPG

Barrels of jewels, when spun, project shots of the dwarves and Snow White on the ceiling. It definitely made me smile. :)
049.JPG

The ride itself, simply summed up, was SO MUCH FUN. The crazy little swerves on the track, the sound of the rushing waterfall as you take the plunge, the 'what-do-I-look-at-there's-so-much-to-choose-from' scene inside the mine (even a Hidden Mickey!), and of course, the rocking action of the carts. We were very fortunate to be sitting behind two very big and strong people who did a lot of the work for us. We had a blast and couldn't wait to go on again (and again, perhaps!)
059.JPG

060.JPG

We moseyed our way over through Fantasyland to stop at the Tangled restrooms. Now this will be the only time I make a note of bathroom-usage in my trip report, but I just have to put it out there that I LOVE THIS BATHROOM.
062.JPG

This scene in the movie is beautiful, probably one of my top 5 favorite romantic Disney moments. The painting and little decorated details inside are amazing. (Last year, I made J take pictures of the inside of the men's restroom so I could see what it looked like. Love the frying pans HAHA :p) But what I really love most about this place is the music. It's so cheerful and I want to dance in the middle of the square just like Rapunzel does!
077.JPG

We passed through Liberty Square towards Frontierland territory. Look how nice and empty it was!
079.JPG

We walked right onto Big Thunder Mountain - the wildest ride in the wilderness. I'm always pleasantly surprised at how extensive this ride is. It's a nice little surprise to see the loading dock in the near view, but then get thrown around one more corner or two. 7DMT could have been a little longer, and I wouldn't have complained. ;)
083.JPG

This ride is pretty crazy and when I think back about it, I just remember always my body being thrown to the left side of the cart (thank goodness J is my cushion there) and the two of us screaming and looking at each other and laughing the whole time.

Since we're gotten into the habit of skimping on breakfast, we decided 10:30 was the perfect time for lunch! And so to the famous Columbia Harbor House we go! (If it weren't for Be Our Guest, Columbia would hands down be the all-time MK favorite. Alas, we are most addicted to BOG. :p)
088.JPG

We called dibs on this great view.
089.JPG

J had the Lobster Roll and I had the Salmon with Cous Cous. It was so fresh, tasty, and dare I say, healthy! That Seasonal Cobbler hit the spot too.
097.JPG

As it was pretty early in the day to be eating, we took our time and enjoyed our lunch in peace and quiet.

Afterwards, we took another ride on Mine Train with our FP, then caught a showing of Philharmagic since it would be closed after today. It's definitely my favorite 3D movie (J's being Muppets) So much perfection and so much win with the Beauty and the Beast, Lion King and Aladdin!

Of course, I had to make a stop at Castle Couture. I kind of die inside when I see the revamped look of the Disney Princesses these days...but I digress.
107.JPG

I love Belle. I want this dress. I debated trying it on in XL... My mom actually told me that during my first trip to Disney when I was 5, I chose Belle's blue dress over any of the more sparkly/fancy gowns. I remember meeting Belle in France in that dress and she was like, 'you look just like me!' :inlove:
110.JPG

Both dresses are gorgeous, but I actually prefer Anna's green dress over the famous Elsa dress. It's so sweet!

Thank you J for humoring me as I shopped. To Tomorrowland we go!
112.JPG

I always point out these coconuts to him. He's like, "how do you notice these things??" How do you not?!
114.JPG

We had a FP for Space Mountain, but we really didn't need it. Stand by was just as quick. When the sound of the rockets puttering along the tracks reached my ears, I broke into a run. Space Mountain is my favorite ride at Magic Kingdom and probably Top 3 overall. I'm getting old enough now that I understand which attractions have that 'classic feel' to me, and this is it. I love the darkness and drops. So even though I've been on it hundreds of times, I'm still groping in the dark!
123.JPG

It was time for us to do our duty for Star Command and the faceless Buzz Lightyear. J is really good at this game - me not so much. I did max out at 999,999 on another day here at MK, but that is a story for later. Also, I always look horrible in the newly installed photo opp in this ride though. I'm trying to concentrate! Stop blinding me!!!

We came out to find that the sunshine had disappeared and had been replaced by those lovely Florida rainshowers. So we did opted for one of our favorite rain plans: Tomorrowland Transit Authority! aka the Blue Ride. (Thank goodness most of it is actually still blue. I thought it was a complete repainting and I would've be mortified to see some burnt orange color snaking it's way through Tomorrowland. If that is the eventual plan, do not tell me and just let me live with my ignorance.)
127.JPG

This is a pretty awesome feeling. The Blue Ride is the perfect speed with the right amount of turns and intrigue. It's great luck for us that we always end up sitting in the end cart so we have an unimpeded view of what's ahead or behind us.
130.JPG

We enjoyed our trip on the highway in the sky, blowdrying ourselves off, squinting in the darkness in Space Mountain, and of course, people watching with the added effect of rain.

See you on the other side! The other side of the kingdom, that is.
148.JPG

After the rain had passed, we crossed over the hub and the Cinderella Castle and it was onto Adventureland. Of course, no visit to Adventureland is complete without one of these babies:
159.JPG

How I've missed the taste! Just looking at this now makes me salivate. Super creamy and refreshing.

The Jungle Cruise is one of those rides that's hard to bring yourself to do if it's hot outside. So we took advantage of the temporary post-rain-recovery-stage and enjoyed our time listening to our punny skipper.
163.JPG

164.JPG

We could really be in the amazon rainforest, minus the gigantic-disease carrying bugs! I'll take this. :)

Annnd, the sun is shining and the sky blue again like nothing ever happened.
166.JPG

168.JPG

Such a classic favorite. My favorite scene is the ship and castle battle. So fun to see where the cannons will land and who may get a little wet.

Country Bear Jamboree time! We laughed at how high Buff, Max, and Melvin looked. When the lights when out and they started talking, a child in the audience let out a blood-curling scream. Poor thing!
170.JPG

Big Al is the best, by the way.

It was nearing 3:00 and we were so excited to finally see Festival of Fantasy Parade! I feel like I was the only person left who hadn't seen it. But it was about to finally happen.

We decided to watch in Liberty Square since we were already headed that way, and spent some time exploring Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe before the parade.
171.JPG

My dream tree!

Unfortunately, the weather was not looking promising. It wasn't even raining yet and a CM told us he was doubtful the parade would happen. We waited and hoped.
176.JPG

178.JPG

And then, the voice came.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, due to - " NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

We were disappointed, but not defeated. We had two more days at Magic Kingdom and we would be able to catch the parade then, right!? The sky was darkening steadily as we wandered through Fantasyland into Tomorrowland. While in Mickey's Star Traders, it began to pour. Now I see why they cancelled the parade!

We had really early dinner reservations at none other than my absolute favorite, Be Our Guest Restaurant! We rain through the rain back to New Fantasyland. Not as soaked as yesterday, thank goodness.
187.JPG

Enter my happy place.
191.JPG

The ballroom. My favorite Disney scene in the entire world. So beautiful. So happy. I get lost in the ceiling: the mural, the chandeliers. I wish I could stay here FOREVER! We've eaten here 3 times before: once for dinner, and twice for lunch. All 3 times, we've sat in the Ballroom. I just can't seem to pull away!

However, we requested the West Wing this time around. It would definitely be a change, but a change worth trying of course! Bye bye Ballroom! I'll be back.

We've always taken peeks at the West Wing and the Gallery, but sitting in here throughout an entire meal was a different experience. It felt intimate. Cool. Spooky.
194.JPG

It would thunder and lightning every so often. The whole room would flash before our eyes. A petal from the rose would fall. And the portrait of Adam would momentarily flash into the Beast, then back again.
196.JPG

We just sat and took in the details of our surroundings. The curtains and tapestries were all ripped and torn. The candles flickered. I can see why it's the most popular room to dine in.

Ordering was a hard decision. We really enjoyed our choices last year: Herb-crusted Lamb Rack (me) and Grilled Strip Steak (J). We always try to order new things, so I went for the Sautéed Shrimp and Scallops.
202.JPG

I love scallops and these were nice and big and juicy. The puff pastry added interesting texture, and the creamy lobster sauce was a great accompaniment. I was surprised to see the pastry in the shape of a square, as I previously remember seeing pictures of it being circular. The square makes it look bigger. More food for my tummy!

J went for...the Herb-crusted Lamb Rack. Well, I guess it's new for him, even though we always share our foods! I was not complaining. Lamb is a fairly recent discovery of ours that we enjoy, and the crust and sauce of this dish was on point.
203.JPG

We feel like royalty when we dine here. I feel so fortunate that we get the opportunity to eat here as it really is my favorite restaurant for so many reasons.

And one of the many reasons would be...
209.JPG

DESSERT! I absolutely adore the extra touch of serving you your dessert by a la carte. We get so excited when that thing rolls out. It's hard to try new things for dessert here. I don't think J has ever gotten a BOG dessert that didn't involved the grey stuff. And here it is...The "Grey Stuff":
210.JPG

I opted for my dessert staple: Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcake. I...just...can't...resist!!! Look how beautifully big and red that strawberry is. Do you know yet how much I love cream cheese frosting? This cupcake takes the word 'moist' to another level. The inside is practically liquid!
212.JPG

Not a bad way to finish up yet another spectacular meal at Be Our Guest.

After dinner, we visited the master. We must've been one of the first people finishing dinner because when we went in, he was sitting on this throne doing absolutely nothing. We probably ruined his sleep! J went up to him, looked at him, but the Beast didn't do anything. Then J reached out a hand (most unwise) and the Beast stood up so suddenly, towering over J, staring him down. It was quite scary and funny at the same time! We took our picture and were on our way.

See this little guy?
240.JPG

Yup, he's MINE! This is my I-MUST-HAVE-THAT $50 souvenir that I just knew was The One. I usually think pictures are the best souvenirs so my Disney souvenirs are usually something small like a picture frame. But this...it just felt right. We just bought our first home. Lumiere would be the most wonderful décor/talking piece/wonderful memento for me to put on my nightstand and just let him flicker until I fall asleep. Oh Lumiere. :inlove: We ended up only paying about $20 for him as we used up the rest of a Disney Gift Card, but he is worth $50 to me! And what better place to purchase him from than the most authentic Bonjour! Village Gifts. Haha, I'm insane. Insanely happy. :D
244.JPG

Still walking off dinner, we meandered over to Storybook Circus (I miss you Toon Town! But Storybook, you ain't bad either!) and enjoyed perusing all the different display areas of the Big Top.
245.JPG

From there, we caught the train and were on our way to an (almost) grand tour of the Magic Kingdom.
247.JPG
It was drizzly again, and it felt extra fresh and cool being on the train. I love the sound of the train along the tracks, the narrator's voice, the steam, the feeling of just 'chugging' along without a care in the world.
248.JPG

As it was already wet outside, we decided ride Splash Mountain. Recently, we've been getting the feeling that we're too old to find getting wet with who-knows-what's-in-that-water fun anymore, but we decided to just do it. ;) We actually donned ponchos for the first time ever at WDW. I don't know why - I guess I really didn't want my underwear to be wet for the rest of the night. :(

This was actually hilarious though, as we had gotten these ponchos for free from a college soccer game and had never bothered to take them out of their baggies until now. J handed me one and we took them out: mine was nice and fashionable: it even had buttons going up the front so it was more like a rain coat! J's was...short sleeved? Wait what? What's the point of a short-sleeved poncho? I laughed whole-heartedly at his indignation and declined to trade. ;)
252.JPG

Splash Mountain used to be my favorite ride as a kid, and I still feel that love burgeon in my heart once I'm on it. I love reading the names on the mailboxes, all the foliage, and of course, all the drops, big and small! As always, the logs back up after the big drop and we get stuck next to the waterfall. Good thing J sits on the right. This is why the girl always gets in first! :D We had a good time.
261.JPG

We journeyed to the Haunted Mansion where J couldn't stop laughing at the tombstone that said: RIP Cousin Huet We All Know You Didn't Do It.
271.JPG

Small World, I love you, I love your song, I love every single display, and I always have and I always will!
278.JPG

I absolutely adore the rain scene in Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. The 'water' sparkles! Jugs float around in circles! I'm obsessed with such little odd things but it's really Disney details that just make my experience.
284.JPG

We continued on to New Fantasyland. Night had fallen and everything looked even more awesome than before.

We enjoyed a nighttime stroll through the lovely empty queue of The Little Mermaid. Look how blue the sky is!
287.JPG

The grotto is better than the ride itself - I feel like I could totally be somewhere exotic!
289.JPG

The other opportunity here at the Magic Kingdom to view backside of water.
291.JPG

This ride isn't anything overly impressive, but we still enjoy the colorfulness and novelty of it. The Kiss the Girl scene is quite cute. King Triton is kinda scary though...
301.JPG

Afterwards, we took our time to leisurely stroll through the back pathway from New Fantasyland back to Tomorrowland. We just stood here for a little while gazing at Space Mountain and enjoyed the quiet peace and calm. We were the only two people in sight!
314.JPG

We looped back around to take a spin on the Tea Cups. We take turns spinning each other. J can definitely make me dizzier than I can make him!

The Main Street Electrical Parade was cancelled due to weather, but I wasn't as blown about this as I was about Festival of Fantasy. We would have another opportunity and while nighttime parades are always fun, this wasn't something new that I was pining to see for months and months. Also, it really doesn't hold a candle to SpectroMagic.

We decided to use this time to wait in the not-too-bad line for Mine Train. It took less than 30 minutes! Not bad at all! Before we knew it, we were inside the vault, and that godly blast of cold air engulfed us.
323.JPG

Mine Train at night sure is awesome. It's difficult to see where you're going, and when you're outside, seeing the rest of New Fantasyland lit up around you is so cool! I'm glad we got to experience this because I didn't know if we would be able to ride at night without a FP since we're not huge fans of waiting in stand by...but the rain and cancelled parade must have helped us with our luck.
309.JPG

Everyone cheer Hip Hip, Hooray! The show always goes on for Celebrate the Magic and Wishes! I enjoy Celebrate the Magic so much, maybe almost more than Wishes. It is pretty remarkable not only what Disney can think of, but how well they can execute it.
325.JPG

My favorite scene is Tangled with the lanterns. It sends goosebumps up my arms and my heart just swells with love for love itself.
332.JPG

At this point, I was feeling super emotional and watching Wishes with J was just...I can't explain it. It just felt right. At the end of a long day at the Magic Kingdom, there is no better way to cap it off than watch fireworks in a way that only Disney can provide. (Seriously, I went to see 4th of July fireworks with friends a couple years ago and was like, 'they don't play music?')
344.JPG

We stuck around for the Kiss Goodnight, having never done this before. It was nice to let the park empty out a bit while we got to enjoy a little more time feasting our eyes on this beauty.

“Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, on behalf of everyone here at the Magic Kingdom, we thank you for joining us today for a magic gathering of family, friends, fun, and fantasy. We hope your magical journey with us has created wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. Walt Disney said that the Magic Kingdom is a world of imagination, hopes, and dreams. In this timeless land of enchantment, magic and make believe are reborn, and fairy tales come true. The Magic Kingdom is a place for the young and the young at heart. A special place where when you wish upon a star, your dreams can come true. Until we see you again, have a safe trip home. Thank you, and goodnight.”

According to J, this is their way of saying "Get out!" (I read that in Timon's voice.) That made me laugh. If this was our last night here, I would've cried. But it was only Day 4 of 10. There was so much more to come. How could I do anything but smile?

Wow - quite the update. Enjoyed your photos, and all your food looks sooooo good!!!
Thank you! Food is more than half the fun! ;)

The was a great update to the report. Once again the pictures are fantastic. Loving the lobster roll. Following along
Thanks again for your kind words! I had a bite of the lobster roll. Pretty good! If you ever go to EPCOT F&W though, it's pretty spectacular there as well. :D

Day 5 - halfway through our trip with no intention of slowing down! Now that we had visited all four parks, it was time to do what we do best: Eat. Sleep. Repeat.

We were dining at Boardwalk later that night, so we planned to go to Hollywood Studios for the day and then stick around the resort area and explore during the afternoon.
011.JPG

As our previous HS day was focused on Frozen Fun, today was more of our traditional HS days. To the familiar sights and sounds we go!
013.JPG

018.JPG

021.JPG

SO CLOSE. I wouldn't be surprised if steam wasn't coming out of my head after this.
025.JPG
After our morning battle, we visited Animation Courtyard and took advantage of a nonexistent line at The Magic of Disney Animation where we were tasked to draw this little guy:
028.JPG

It was a very intimate group: just three of us and a few CMs sitting all the way in the back joining in on the fun. I thought that was interesting!
035.JPG

And then we were back...let's just say I fell off the map this round. Too many close losses, my morale was low.

All the intensity and focus of the morning made us hungry. So we stopped by Starring Rolls to pick up a snack to share. Maybe that muffin over there? OR...how about this brownie topped in absurd amount of M&Ms? That sounds better!
037.JPG

We sat on a bench on Sunset Boulevard indulging on this bad boy watching the sun grow stronger. Content. :)

I always enjoy window shopping at HS. Below are my findings/obsessions of the day:
042.JPG

Wouldn't Chip look so cute with Lumiere?! Alas, I resisted. I went through a phase where I bought too many Disney mugs but refused to use them because I didn't want to wash them and have them fade...I should probably stop.
043.JPG

I really thought it would be fun to purchase these for our fridge, but got sticker shock. $12 each or something like that?! And c'mon, if you're gonna buy one, you might as well have the whole set...I just opted for a picture. Also, in hindsight, it might be really weird to have a turkey leg stuck to your fridge...

So maybe we caught the Frozen Processional again. Annnnd Oaken's iceskating cousins. But other than that, it was HS as usual. And that means grub time at Sunset Ranch Market. We split up (gasp) and J stood in line at Rose's All American Café to get his Angus Onion Straw Burger while I went to Fairfax Fare to get the Chicken and Ribs combo.
066.JPG

Neither choice was rave-worthy, so I'll just leave it as 'we gotta eat'!

After lunch, we dropped in next door at Tower of Terror. Smart, I know.
073.JPG

Well we also did this because we had a little time to kill before my favorite HS show...Beauty and the Beast!!!
083.JPG

This Belle had a truly beautiful voice. Just like the movie! Goosebumps.
084.JPG

My favorite part in this scene is the spoons. And when the guys glide around on the carts. So fun!

Not pictured, but the battle scene when Gaston and the Beast fight...when Gaston hits the Beast with his club and it just bounces off of the Beast's chest...we laughed out loud so hard at that...
085.JPG

The dance. The dresses. The music. Tears. Best Disney movie ever.
086.JPG

We FPed our way to Rock N Rollercoaster right after the show. I have to say, the loading area for this ride is kind of cool, but I don't know why I find so interesting about it. Cause if I found myself in a place that looked like that in real life, I'd skedaddle out of there real fast.

Great trip report. We have a Mickey ice cream bar stuck to our fridge. Makes me smile every time I see it.
How cute! You sure you don't try to take a bite out of it everytime you pass by? :p

Enjoying your report...especially the food pictures :p I want that brownie!!!
Thank you! It was decadent and completely breakfast material for sure.
