Thank you for being so positive! You and RogueHabit sure have opened my eyes to what the this thread is all about! Such heartwarming, helpful comments for the OP you're leaving. There was no criticizing in my post, I only wanted to help them look at all the angles from someone who goes to the MVMCP every time I'm there for the holidays. Facts and opinions both are so very useful - combining them gives a whole picture. Now can we just get back to Christmas the way it should be?
Glad we are on the same page.

The party is my family's favorite. We bought our party ticket for the same day that we'll be in MK this year. It's something special that I think people should experience at least once.

The thread asked if the Christmas Party is "worth" it. It didn't ask, "What do you get with Christmas Party?"

If you want facts, go to www.disneyworld.com and read about it there.

Sometimes, people want personal opinions. I'm so sick of people criticizing discussion on a discussion forum. Yes, topics have been discussed before, people are biased, and we go around in circles....but isn't that why we are all here?
I would honestly be suspect of the "facts" that you sometimes get from www.disneyworld.com often times they are given enough marketing treatment that they are only "facts" in the sense that Disney wont be getting sued for fraud but by many they would be borderline facts. Snow on main street being one of the things they advertise that was far from snow. For me Fake snow is what I get when I go to a Trans Siberian Orchestra concert, but Disney's version of fake snow is much less than that as we've experienced the event in the past and I would say that someone with dandruff probably look more like they have been in snow than anyone experiencing the DIsney version of fake snow.

It's worth going to and you may love it. We go every year to MNSSHP (just went last Tuesday) and have gone to the MVMCP a few times as well. We're "Halloween people" so I'm a little biased but we enjoyed MVMCP. It's a different feel and a lot of fun (although there are just so many snicker-doodles one can consume). My daughter has sensory issues and was unable to deal with the "snow" during the parade. Also, my husband got hit in the face with a snowball thrown by Chip (or Dale?). Other than that, it's definitely worth going to at least once. I know it's pricey but it's a unique experience and as others have mentioned, they have items that you can only get at the party. As far as crowd levels, I can only speak to when we have gone and that's the week right after Thanksgiving. Crowd levels were fine at that point. As you get closer to Christmas it gets pretty filled up. Have fun if you decide to take the plunge!

Last time I went to the Christmas party CM made no attempt to evict day guests who stayed. They had issues getting on rides but had no problem watching the parades, fireworks and shows. Has this changed?

Meh I don't think it is worth it. Spend the $89 on a great dinner or something else. You can see the fireworks outside the park. The snow will be free at DHS and if you want less crowds do rope drop at MK one morning.

In theory. This year, the park closes at 6 pm to day guests, and the party "starts" at 7 pm. It remains to be seen how the CMs will use that hour. In the past, they would round up party guests into one area, and sweep the rest of the park.
