TIW Extension?

Not sure if this has already been asked; if so, my apologies.
We have been TIW members since inception (back when it was called Disney Dining Experience!) While the resort is closed, the TIW card is obviously useless. Since members paid for a full year of membership, has any consideration been given to extending the expiration date for the equal # of months that the resort will be closed so that members will still receive 12 full months of eligible use?

Now that restaurants are opening back up - will Tables in Wonderland work again? Do you think they'll start selling new memberships?

Will we have to get a new card or will the CMs just know that the date has been extended? We are going two weeks after our card would have expired and obviously want to use it.
