Tips on planning a very impromptu trip??!!!

Does anybody have any tips on planning a very impromptu trip. We have been waiting so long to go back and just decided its time and couldn't wait any longer and are planning on making ressies for April 7-11, see how impromptu that is!!!! Ressies are still available for dining and we have spring discounts and crowds are not predicted to be heavy. Planning on staying at Pop! Tips, please!!!!????

I live in a small town with a mall with only basic retailers

I feel your pain.

My little Hamlet in IL is very small too. We have two pizza places-one is a pub, a diner, a bakery and fortunately a 7/11, gas station along with a McDonald's. We don't have a grocery store nor any retail what-so-ever. But by the grace of tollways I can reach either Disney outlet or a very sucidoodles Disney Store that isn't what it once was, more a glorified childen's clothing and toy store these days.

OK, that is a fairly large city there. It reminds me of the town I grew up in, Park Ridge, IL ( home of Hilary Clinton and me.)

We actually use to stop some years in Valdosta to spend the night as we drove from IL to FL when I was a kid.

My last two trips were planned with less than one month. We are not big on ADR's but I was able to get a couple that I wanted. We travel when crowds are lighter so we stopped for lunch at a couple locations with no waiting. Besides a couple ADR's and maybe a tour I don't plan anything. We seriously get up in the morning and decide where to go first.
