Tips for final day?

Hello all! We will be staying at WL Oct 19 - 26. Our flight leaves Orlando at 4:30pm so we can visit a park in the morning. What can we do with our luggage when we check out so we can go to the pk? We usually take all carry-ons to avoid charges and hassles. Any suggestions or ideas?

We check bags with baggage check. They will hold it for you for the time you need.

Yep, just leave the bags at the baggage check at your resort and come back for them when it is time to hop on the Magical Express. Not a big deal.

I don't know about the rest of you but to keep from crying like a baby we just get up and go. I can always convince myself we will come back when I leave the MK on our last night, tradition of course. However, the next day, when reality sets in that we are leaving I cannot go to a park and say goodbye all over again. I can shop, I can swim, I can go to DTD and eat a meal, but a park? Nope.

I really avoid going into parks the last day. Way too many things could happen that could keep you from catching a flight.

Character breakfast,then off to DTD to do some final shopping...grab one last sundae from Ghiradelli's...and hit the road...7 hour drive...sometimes we stop in St. Augustine to go to the Character store there.

I assume you don't have a car, since that would be the most obvious solution. I'd leave it at the hotel, I guess, and pick it up on my way to the airport.

I would leave that last morning open to go do whatever I felt like repeating (or had missed for some reason.)

Last day is always Epcot ending with a final ride on Spaceship Earth.

Leave baggage at bell desk and last day for us (we get picked up by Magical Express at 2.30) is character breakfast (either Cindy's or Grand Floridian), and POTC, IASW then very slow walk through main street shopping, lunch at resort then onto the bus. sobbing like a baby.....

That's right.

On our last trip, we packed up early and checked our bags (our were exclusively carry-on, as well) with bell services at our resort (PORS). We went off to the Magic Kingdom for rope drop, and bade farewell to our favorite attractions over the next 2 hours. We were back at the resort well before noon (when our ME bus was coming), picked up our bags (don't forget to give the nice bell services folks a tip!) and caught our Magic Express bus to the airport for our 3:00pm departure.

When scheduling your final day, keep in mind that if you are taking the Magical Express bus, it will pick you up about 3 hours before your scheduled departing flight. That seems like a long time, but by the time our bus stopped at a couple of other resorts, we got to the airport, walked across it, grabbed a couple of items at Burger King and got to the gate, we had less than 30 minutes before takeoff.

My favorite thing to do on my last day is food related (I know, surprise, surprise). I take tupperware with me and pack my favorite CS meal to eat on the plane. Last time I had Tangierine's chicken on the plane and it was awesome.
