Company policy is all in non-gratuity positions must reject/forfeit any gratuities.

That’s almost everyone

Disney has made efforts to avoid “wage disparities” for decades

What do you mean by hotel wait staff? Certain positions cannot accept tips but others are allowed to do so.

Only bellman that are on tipped salaries…which doesn’t include the “hybrid” desk attendants they use at the values

My husband tried to tip a maintenance worker recently (a long story - no one needs to get upset) and she said to give it to the housekeeper. So it’s probably allowed.

Water park cabana attendants were previously not allowed but may under their current contract.

I could tell you - now admittedly dated - stories…

They used to be almost fanatical about it…no one was going home with an unplanned nickel and they watched/shifted those that did to try to control the take homes…

It’s a big part of the downfall of pleasure island…much more than was ever discussed on boards such as this

…but I think they have become less adamant - both at the bargaining table and on the ground - about being so draconian there.
