Leaving tomorrow for my first trip to the world. Im a little unsure about tipping. Do I tip mousekeeping and if so should I do it daily or at the end of my trip? Do I tip the DME drivers? And do I tip bell services?
Thanks in advance :)

I'm not very crafty so I use basic small white and blue envelopes, I write For Housekeeping and close them with a Disney sticker. I usually tip $5 every time they clean the room, which is every other day during our time at the resort.

I am the world's worst tipper, but I absolutely tip Mousekeeping.
I am a firm believer in tipping the folks who have unfettered access to my toothbrush.
This alone is a good reason to tip. lol. We always leave a few dollars in the bathroom sink when we leave for the day (we read that somehwere) and theres usually a towel animal when we return! Sometimes they are quite elaborate. Guess thats their way of saying thank you.

As far as tipping on the dining plan, we tip according to the service and not the 15%, 18%, or 20% that Disney suggests. We have felt so rushed for some meals when we used to use the dining plan (we no longer do). I know they work on turnover but we have a had a few meals that it was just ridiculous how fast they tried to make it. If they rush us I will just leave a few dollars. That may seem rude to some people, but so is rushing a customer just to get tips on turnover.

We always tip bell hop and Magical Express drivers. Kharma and all that stuff.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

Oh my gosh, you are the first person to feel the same way as I do.
I also do not feel obligated to tip the 18 or 20 % that Disney kindly "suggests". Sometimes I do. Sometimes (not often, because I am cheap) I tip more.
Why should I however, leave a $40 tip for 4 people at a ridiculously over-priced buffet, when I stacked my own plates and had to track down our server for drink refills. Just bringing one round of drinks and the bill does not warrant $40. In fact, at Boma, one year, it warranted $5.

We don't use DME or bellhops, but I would definitely tip a few bucks there.

Seriously though, I think housekeeping works harder, at a job few of us would want to do, for paltry tips. In Jen-world, Housekeepers would earn bigger tips than food servers.
