CASHIERS @ gift shops?? You must be joking...

Yeah I was just making sure you were paying attention. Just tip who does a good job. If they are really horrible like the bell hop decided to throw you bags in a puddle I wouldn't tip him/her.

Hi...there are other threads on tipping so do a search and you will find many of your questions answered...

In general, except for shops, stores, pool attendants, and counter-service personnel at food courts (none of whom you tip) you need to tip any of the same professionals you would tip at any other hotel. In addition, normally at hotels you would tip the doorman and the concierge. Those are not tippable at WDW and in fact are instructed to tell you they can not accept a tip.

Your housekeeper (mousekeeper); the bellhops; any sit-down restaurant server; taxi driver; valet car-parker; pizza delivery person (if you order delivery to your room); baby-sitter (if you hire one).

There has been some discussion about the magical express - it is appropriate to tip the bus driver IF HE HANDLES YOUR BAGS. While the brochure you receives states you do not need to tip the baggage handler who delivers your bag to your room, if you are in the room at the time, it is appropriate to give him/her a dollar or two and they will not refuse it.

If in doubt, the employees at WDW who are not permitted to accept tips have been instructed to tell you so and to refuse your tip. (Of course, like any other job in the world that involves money, we know how that goes).

tipping

In general, we tip bellhops who bring all our luggage to the room and then carry it down at the end of the trip (about $10.00), we always tip waiter/waitresses at any restaurant (about 15%), and if we have room service (we rarely do) we do tip that person. We for sure tip our mousekeepers. We live a note saying, "thanks for cleaning our room ____. Signed The Jones Family" or whatever. Besides the fact it is right to tip them more often than not, you will come back with surprises like towels made into animals and stuff. I think it adds an extra feel to being well cared for.
