Tip Board and My Day parks don’t match. Ruined Genie+ Selections

Got all ready at 7am for Epcot selections today. Used my phone for Remy and got a 1pm return time for the group. Used my mom’s phone to book Test Track. They gave us 2pm for test track.

Turns out they were showing an older reservation for hers and gave us 2pm Test Track because they’re thinking she needs to park hop, even though she and my dad have current Epcot reservations for today.

Furthermore, it’s now showing my and my son’s Epcot reservation for today under My Day but showing us going to Animal Kingdom under Tip Board. We’ve never had a reservation for Animal Kingdom today, and when I change it Epcot under Tip Board, it only gives me options for Epcot in the afternoon saying we’ll have to park hop.

So now we have a late Test Track Lightning lane and can’t change anything to the morning because it’s claiming we all need to parkhop to Epcot later.

Ugh! I'm sorry. Hopefully Guest Services can sort it out for you, and maybe toss a couple of extra LL reservations your way.

Tough break for us. Neither fix you mentioned really happened. Cast member manager at hotel kind of fixed it (not entirely, long explanation) and got us an earlier LL for Test Track, but barely earlier. So we couldn’t use Lightning Lane until the one we had for Test Track after noon.

But then after scanning into it to ride, the ride got shut down for weather while we were designing cars. Weather got worse and worse and we finally had to leave the park (3 year old in windy rain doesn’t go well).

Now back at the hotel and never got to use a single Lightning Lane after spending almost $70 on Genie+ for four of us.

I hate to say it since I’m as positive and big a Disney World fan as they come, but today’s experience on this trip has been pretty awful based on things both in and out of Disney’s control. I know they can’t control the weather and I never hold it against them when it doesn’t work out, of course.

Positive update: a different manager at our hotel was able to refund us for Genie+ since we weren’t able to use it at all. Doesn’t make up for the missed vacation opportunities since it’s a short, rare vacation, but it was much appreciated to not be out the money for nothing.

Just a follow up that today’s Genie+ booking process at 7am was much smoother than yesterday. Park reservations were accurate, so I was able to get 7 Dwarfs and Peter Pan both for around 9:30am for all four party members, then Space Mountain for two of us for 10:30am. Fingers are crossed for better weather today!
