Tiny Downtown Disney Marketplace Update

Was at Downtown Disney last night and noticed that there is new music being played, it seems a lot of the music from movies like Brother Bear and Home on the Range have been removed off the track list, and new music from PoTC has been added, as well as a new version of Bear Necesities, and a strange version of the Tiki Room theme (it almost felt like a speaker was out, it was strange, it left a lot of the lyrics out.. such as: "the birds in back are called Macaws ....... (missing lyrics)... No! because they're Macaws!" and also "In the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room... (missing lyrics).... And the Flowers Croon!"

There is also a Kiosk of some sort set up somewhat near where the face painting is, nothing in it though.

There was a big U.S. Open waterski festival (I believe?) that was going on, so downtown disney was very busy, they even had fireworks!

There is a lot of halloween merchandise now: pins, hitchiking ghost gravestones, pumpkin mouse ears, candy, plush, and a few other things. The Christmas stores is getting new ornaments in as well it seems. Several of the 50th Anniversary shirts were on sale at World of Disney as well. I noticed the Imagineering Guide to the Magic Kingdom is very very hard to find now in the parks, it seems only the epcot one can be found now.

Maybe all the Downtown Disney speakers are default mono...Only pick up one side of stereo tracks... :lookaroun

I noticed the Imagineering Guide to the Magic Kingdom is very very hard to find now in the parks, it seems only the epcot one can be found now.

I noticed that too. I wish I could find one for MK. I'm sure they're on Amazon or something but I'm too impatient to order one.

Heard the music again tonight, this time on the other side of the marketplace, it is definately the track. We figured out that they are missing the audio of the birds Jose and Pierre on the Tiki track (it's the same track that is played when you are put on hold on any of the disney phone lines, also with the missing lyrics.)

The music changes are very nice though.

Also forgot to mention they changed the big screen video in World of Disney again as well, had some great new clips.

The kiosk is the new Disney Vacation Club Village kiosk. Going to be very cool!

The new kiosk by the face painting is our temp location.

The permanent new location is a complete redo of the original DVC Info Center. It is going to be HUGE and amazing. Right now there is a big beige construction wall in front of where it will be. On the wall are some of the new ads that will be featured in the new permanent location.

It will be down in 6-8 weeks. The temp location is weak, but it will suffice for a few weeks.

The new DVC location will be the manned by a team of 7 ASAs who only work there, which is big news for our department. The people you will see there are the best of the best.... well besides me LOL, but seriously, the new location is gonna be 'off the hook'. I just didn't want that to be the only place I work.

But the music is a LOT better now, A LOT!!!
