there is plenty of room for a few meet and greet the 100 acre woods and an E ticket. if I remember correctly the 20k show build ing was huge with some land on either end. besides meet and greets can be temporary to make use of the space till a sutable e-ticket has been developed. my guess is they are waiting to see weather, Herbie, narnia etc take off before commiting on an attraction.

Nope. Kristen Chenoweth has nothing to do with it. It involves something that Eisner is stingy about. Money! Once again, though, I would like to state that I don't know if that is the reason.

Sorry, but Kristin Chenoweth has been signed to voice Rapunzel in the upcoming movie.

besides... i'd really like a new attraction in MK. it's rare that prime real estate liek that would open up, they could put it to better use than a play ground or meet'n'greet.

Something nice will take over that spot in few years. I think that is pretty safe to say. I don't see Disney going through all of that expense filling in the Lagoon for a Meet N Greet. Construction on an E-Ticket for that spot would probably start in 2007. Of course, this is all just rumor and speculation on my part.

I agree on the Meet-n-Greets! Too many of them and not fun anymore. I'm sure Disney implemented them to gain their always needed control over them - and it probably helps more people see them, but I remember as a kid just walking around the parks and spotting some character just hanging out. We got some of the best candid shots with them this way. Sometimes we'd have characters all to ourselves, back in some little nook in EPCOT, or where ever. Having a line, and pre-arranged times just takes all the fun out of it. It's like being a robot, walking from one character to another, standing in line, clicking the camera....start all over.

I TOTALLY AGREE!! I liked it so much better when it was spontaneous. I hate the "organized" meet and greets. If I want to arrange a meeting with a character I'd rather do it while I'm eating a meal. In the parks, I liked things so much better when you'd "find" the characters.
