The only rumor I heard involves a flying-saucer/bumper car-esque ride featuring alien creates from Toy Story.

Seriously though, I'd heard the same rumor. God I hope this never happens. I love the Timekeeper! Plus I really hate bumber cars. They became less tolerable when I had to get certified on them at Six Flags this summer (but that's another story altogether...). The astro blaster thing at DQ isn't much better.
If I have to, I'll join a picket line to keep CoP and Timekeeper in November when I down there...

I have not yet heard any discussion of this idea...
How about combining the Timekeeper theater space with the current Buzz attraction to either 1) make Buzz longer/better, or 2) have much more space available for whenever Buzz is ready to be replaced (the new attraction would be housed in the combined - larger building.)
Of course, I think they should keep the circlevision theme and either 1) make it 3D or 2) combine it with a motion simulator type technology.

Wait...wait...I got it! A meet and greet that lets out into a gift shop!
But really...if they have to take out Timekeeper, I hope they keep something in 360. That's what makes the attraction really neat!
