Time to arrive at at DHS for SWW if NOT getting celebrity autograph fastpasses??

We are not interested in getting the celebrity autograph fastpasses. The first thing we are planning on doing is getting in line for character meetings. What time should we arrive? We do want to make sure we see the Storm Troopers skit they do before opening.

We are staying at the Poly and will be driving our own car to DHS. What time should we leave our resort?

Arrive a minimum of 30 minutes before opening. If you want to get in line for exclusive merchandise I would bump that figure up to 1 to 2 hours before opening.

Thanks, Richard. What time do you think we should leave the Poly? I've never paid attention to how long it takes to drive to DHS, park, etc...because we've never made a point of getting to that park at opening.

If you are taking Disney transportation I would try to leave no later than 7:30 for a 9:00 AM opening. Bus transportation from the monorail resorts can be notoriously bad so you will need as much time as possible.

I got to DHS 45 minutes early on Friday and got a FP for Warwick Davis and my bracelet for first entry into Wicket's Warehouse. Now, Ray Park's FP line was already backed up to the dock outside. It just depends on what you are after though.

BTW, FP and Merchandise Bracelets were being distributed to the far right of the ticket booths if you are facing the studios entry. THey started handing them out about 30 minutes before park opening.
