Tim Burton Weekend Rumor

There are rumors of a Tim Burton event at DHS in October that mixes Star Wars Weekend with Halloween Horror Nights or something along those lines. Any credibility? What are your thoughts? I think it'd be cool to see Jack Skellington meet and greets, walking through the miniature sets, character atmosphere, etc.

Opinions?

oh my. I would love any tim Burton stuff. But I can't go during the crowds that are star wars (I usually hit wdw in fall or Jan/Feb!)

I'd say this rumor (like most rumors from Mr. Hill) has zero credibility. The Studios needs many things, but a Tim Burton Weekend isn't one of them (and I'm a HUGE Burton fan).

I think that it offers a middle ground on the scary factor. HHN are very intense while MNSSHP leans towards a lighter fare. I think this would be am interesting move and could boost HS crowds for those who may skip it during Halloween. However would it just be Nightmare Before Christmas and Frankenweenie? How many other properties do they have access to? Not Beetlejuice obviously... The denizens of Halloweentown would be pretty cool walk around characters to provide the spooky atmosphere.

Don't get me wrong, I think Button's characters (at the very least Jack and Sally) should be in the parks. I just don't think we need a Tim Burton Weekend to make this happen. The characters should be there regardless.

depends.. Can they get the rights to corpse bride? Or is that one owned by someone else? I am sure beetle juice
is not on the table, sadly..lol

Think for yourselfer
Seems far fetched. Is there really any demand for that? Why not just expand the role of the Burton characters at MNSSHP?

I'm totally for it, I love Tim Burton!
With all the variety of characters in his repertoire I honestly think his creations could hold guests attention for weekend events!

Rumors, or a speculative article by Jim Hill?
My thought as well. The only person who ever seems to talk about this event. A few years ago it was a slightly scarier event centered on The Nightmare Before Christmas. Then after Alice in Wonderland that got added in, and now this year Frankenweenie has been added as well.

I love Tim Burton, but Tim Burton weekends isn't the kind of thing I'd like to see at DHS. Especially if it's with Star Wars, since they don't tie in at all. DHS really needs something, but not Tim Burton weekends.
