Howdy gang! I didn't know this, hadn't seen it here, and thought I'd make sure other people staying at the Contemporary in January knew that the main pool will be closed for refurb during the month. I know it's scheduled to be closed from sometime after the 1st of the year thru sometime in February or early March but I'm not certain of the dates. I just know it will be closed while we are there Jan. 23rd thru Feb.1st. I called Disney to ask what the alternative pool will be for Contemporary guests. The CM I talked to seemed like he had some difficulty accessing the info and didn't sound entirely sure of himself. All he said was guests would be allowed to use other resort pools other than Stormalong Bay (duh, it will be closed for refurb during this time, too). Another website said Poly's pool will be the one that's offered as an alternative. Just wanted to give peeps a heads up on that. I was sorta surprised. THen again, it made me kinda happy to hear. It seems the Contemporary is receiving some much needed TLC these days with the painting inside, the new landscaping out front, the pool refurb, etc. That's always a good thing.
