Tickets onto MagicBands

Hi all. Once payment is processed, are your tickets immediately programmed into your band?

We are trying to gauge when we will purchase them and were wondering how long it takes. Our bands ship on 1/31 so how far (or short) ahead of that can we purchase them and have them definitely programmed in? What happens if we purchase tickets after the bands ship? Are the tickets programmed into them upon check in?

If your tickets are purchased via your my Disney experience account they are automatically registered, if you purchase them elsewhere you will need to link them to your account. Instructions on how to do this are available via my Disney experience. In reality thay are then immediately available.

Technically they aren't linked to your magic band, they are linked to your account as are your bands, the band is just the media Disney uses to access & view what is registered in your account, such as tickets, dining plan, credit cards for charging rights etc.

Therefore when you buy & register your tickets has no bearing on when your magic bands are despatched to you. The main thing is to ensure you have your tickets brought & registered before your fastpass window opens if you plan on using that facility.
