Ticket questions

We are going to Disney on May 4th and are looking at getting the 5 or 6 day park hopper plus pass. I have a few questions

1. If we get tickets at our local disney store can we transfer them over to our room key once we get there so we only have one item to worry about.

2. If we get the 5 day pass and decide we need an extra day will they add the extra day onto our pass?

3. Does the All-Star movie resort sell tickets onsite?

Thanks again for your help

1. i asked this question at the front desk, and they said no. of course, that may have just been one cast member who didnt know how or didnt feel like it. i am going to WL in 8 days and have already bought passes. im going to ask again so if they do it i will let you know.

2. if you are still on your first day, you can 'exchange' the pass and only pay the difference between the five day and six day. if you have already used several days, they will still let you trade in the ticket but i don't know if they give you full value or not.

3. yes the all stars sell all ticket types on site. they used to have a separate desk for guest services but now i think it is combined with the check in desk. but yes, they do offer all the passes and such that you can buy at the more expensive resorts.

Last trip I bought my Hoppers before we left home and ran into the same deal with not being able to get them put onto my room ticket.

There may be a way to do it, but I didn't really want to wait any longer at the front desk, so I let it slide.

Knowing now what I do, next time I will wait and buy my Hoppers at check-in, even though it violates all my personal rules about doing things in advance.

Another advantage of buying tix at the hotel--you have eliminated the risk of leaving your park passes at home.

I may be mistaken, but I believe that the only ticket that can be put on your room key/resort id, is the length of stay pass. For all other passes, you have to use the regular ticket media.

Have you considered getting the Length of Stay pass? It covers you from when you check in, to midnight of the day you check out. You can purchase them directly from your Disney resort upon check in, and they are integrated into your room ID. Hakuna Matata :)

One benefit of the Park Hopper passes that the Length of Stay passes don't have, is that they never expire. So, for example, if you purchase a 6 day park hopper ticket, and only use 5 days... You can use that extra one day on your next vacation in 5 years! My mother did that... she had a ticket from 1992 that she used last year when she visited.

The downside to the Park Hoppers is that if you decide that you want an extra day, you have to purchase a One Day One Park ticket... you can't just extend it like a Length of Stay pass.

hey there to the best of my knowledge only the ultimate Park hopper can be put on your room key as it expires on your check out day. None of the other hopper passes have that limitation. An unused day on a hopper pass never expires.
Upgrading is always allowed, downgrading isnt as far as days on the pass. So you can go from 4 to 5 with no problem, but the reverse isn true.
All of the resorts sell tickets at the check in point. The only ticket we were unable to buy there was an Annual Pass (Great Deal for anyone going more than twice in a 365 day period Not necessarily calendar year). Have a great time at the parks everyone!!! Belle :sohappy:

Unfortunetly, according to the person I asked at Central Reservations... you can't upgrade a Park Hopper Pass.

(407) 934-7639 is the number for CRO, if anyone has any more questions or needs explainations.

I'm not sure if this will help or not, but we checked into AKL on 4-6. We had 4 day hopper passes from last year, with two days left on them. My youngest was now 10, so he was now an adult rate. The CM credited the two days left on the 4 day passes, and then added on two more days (and we paid the difference for the new adult rate for my youngest), and she put the new four days on our room cards. It took her about 7-8 minutes extra, but that was fine with us, that's exactly what we wanted.

If you have it in your budget, go ahead and get a 5 day, your unused day doesn't expire.

Also, I've read some members say to look at the cost between a length of stay compared to a four or five day hopper, to make sure you're not paying for days you won't be able to use due to travel time.
