The live vocals is just a difference in the shows weather one is better than the other is up to each person.

Maybe, but do you prefer your entertainment live or pre recorded? Which is more impressive? If you paid money to go to a concert and the singer just moved their lips to a pre-recorded song would you enjoy that as much as if they had the actual talent and skills to sing live? I think I'd be pretty annoyed.

I greatly appreciate that they incorporated a small LIVE instrumental jazz group into the Florida show. And I think the new show looks great. But it is a little bit of a cop-out to have all the singing pre-recorded.

To stay on topic yes I want it to continue until the DVD is released. Ok now onto the small DL/WDW war. COProgressFan I half agree with you. As far as paying an insane amount of cash to go to a concert & it being recorded that is annoying. (Britney Spears is a fine example of lipping it so she can do more performing at her shows) But as talneted as the people are that Disney does hire with the movie not being out yet & wanting to hear the music from it its almost better to have it pre recorded so it can be the same voices that are in the film. Just because one has live singing & the other doesn't does not mean one is better than the other its just different. It comes down to would you perfer to hear someone who sounds a lot like "Tiana" ect. & have it be live or have it be recorded & have it be the voices you will hear in the film. It's a simple difference for the SAME EXACT SHOW! Both do/will feature some of the music being played by a live band so the one very small difference is the live vs. recorded vocals.

Most people with a brain would understand and appreciate the fact that the Tiana they're going to hear sing is not Anika Noni Rose. I'm a WDW guy through and through, but it greatly annoys me that they took the easy road and have the cast lip synching to pre-recorded vocals. It's a cop-out.

I've always wished more of the WDW shows had a live component to them.

Me too. A lot of these shows disappeared over the past few years. Twas the Night Before Christmas show in Tomorrowland had a live band, the old Christmas parade had several live bands (ran until 2006), the old castle shows had live bands (til 2001 I think). And who can forget "4 for a Dollar" who sang acapella as the preshow for Fantasmic and Beauty and the Beast at the studios.

It's a shame there's so much more canned music now.

It is ashame that so many of the shows are pre recorded, up until a few years ago there would atleast be a few live vocals even in the castle show but they're all pre recorded now. One of the many reasons I love Finding Nemo the musical so much is that everyone is live from the principals up to the ensemble, everyone is wearing a mic!!!!

I can speak about the recorded vs. live voice thing, as I was at Disneyland today and saw the last two shows of Tiana's Showboat Jubilee this afternoon, with Tony Baxter and a ton of Disneyland and Studios execs in attendance for the first one I saw, and then Bob Iger and his family in attendance for the second one I saw.

I must say the girl that Disneyland has singing live in this show as Tiana was absolutely amazing. So pretty and graceful, and man what a voice! Prince Naveen and the bad guy were also on microphone and they were very good. What an amazing show! The procession through New Orleans Square really brings it all to life.

The CM's near me said the group from the Studios included the Producer of the Tiana movie, who also did Aladdin and Little Mermaid, plus a bunch of other Studios bigwigs who worked on Tiana and drove down from Burbank to Disneyland today. And then Bob Iger was there for the second one with his family right in the middle of the crowd, clapping and waving to everyone. Go Bob!
