You just need to tap into the MK before you join the 1pm drop.
So you could park hop to MK at like 11am then leave around noon and still be able to join the VQ. Don't physically have to be in the park when the 1pm drop occurs.

The problem is getting to the MK is a significant time commitment, so any hopping there would be hopping and staying.
