Was this changed on the mermaid ride? I remember it only being 2D.

It was originally a 3d animation that looked terrible.

This looks 2D to me but hard to tell given the angle. Guess I do not remember this at all.

People don't know how to film a dark ride. It's amazing how youtube will return the latest videos even if you want something from 15 years ago.

If I was on this project one of the biggest boldest bullet points I would have had is something that read….

*wherever there was something it needs to be replaced with something equal or better.

Obviously this may not be possible in EVERY spot but it’s a something that should have guided them. But maybe that’s just not possible with a “smaller”budget and a team that doesn’t know how to get the most bang for their buck.

They replaced entire vignettes with screens
A sculpted 3D You May Get Wet sign of Brer Rabbit with a flat sign with generic font.
The Brer Rabbit ornament with nothing making the logs like every other log ride in America.


The list can go on for days.

It all just feels so cheap!!! They've wanted to do this since at least 2010, there were talks about this as early as then, why does it all seem so lazy?

No animatronics here? No problem! We will just...turn off the lights!!!
