Thunder Mountain? Anybody scared now?

I must admit, I am a little frightened. However, its nothing against Disney, its more of a personal issue. What I have noticed the last few times I have rode:
1.) The rides seems to go about 25% faster
2.) There were several points when I felt I was going to fall out of the end of my seat (I was in a seat alone).

I may be completely wrong about this, but that is just how it seems.

Moreover, I feel the CM I deal with one-on-one as a guest are just trying to do their job to the best of their ability. However, Disney is a business, and any business, esp. larger ones struggle to cheat the customers. Its just the way it is.

I just rode it today with Patrick (ISTCrew20), and the line was FULL. They utilized every queue available inside. The mountain looks as if it was painted. It was much brighter. To me, it was no different riding Big Thunder before the accident, than it is riding it after the accident. The ride will be the same no matter what. I take my chances on anything. If somethings gonna happen, its gonna happen whether I am on it or not.

yup, Kenan! I'm glad to say i can back your statement up 100%! the mountain is open again for buisness, and PACKED! the line for it was well past the entrance, fastpasses were already to noon and after, and the mountain looks stunning with a fresh coat of rusty-colored paint! the line was much too long for me to ride (45 minutes in the sun! and besides, it was my last day, so i was in a hustle to get a few things taken care of before I went to meet Scoop Sanderson on Main St.) so i figured it'll still be there the next time i go back (though, with Disney these days, who knows!)
anyway, just wanted to re-confirm Kenan's statement that the mountain is back and seems to be as good as ever! :)

If i was at MK right now I would go on BTMR without hesitation. What happened in Disneyland was a rare occurence and ride failures/malfunction's are very rare in disney history.

I don't know about the ride speeding although it sounds un-likely but when you felt you were falling, there is a simple answer to that: "air-time".... It happens on most fast rides (Splash mountain, Space Mountain....)

Well a lady died on the Hulk, now I understand that there was not accident, jsut a tragic incident but, someone is still dead and the Hulk has been extremely busy lately, so I dont think it will keep crowds away.

I remember at Six Flags over Georgia there was a kid who died on the Z force. The ride closed after that and was destroyed. I don't know exactly the reason. Only that the kid had a heart condition and shouldn't have been on it in the first place. I bet the same thing happened with the women on the Hulk. I assume that SFOG did not have warning signs or something up at the time is the reason they decided to destroy it. It was a long time ago.

Yesterday around 12 or so waits were at 20 minutes. At 12:30 the wait pushed up to 40 minutes. I rode yesterday, was not scared at all, and enjoyed every moment of it.

I would definetely ride, as Disney would not open the ride if they thought that there was the slightest problem, and after the accident one can only assume that more safety measures have been added.

didn't something similar to this happen on Body Wars? seems like i remember hearing of a girl that died while on Body Wars. it might not have been heart problems, though...i just don't remember. it was years ago that i heard about this.
was just curious.
