Three Months Free Annual Pass To be Extended

We will be going to WDW this week and would like to renew our passes to take advantage of the 3 month extension. Our passes don't expire until the first of week of December, but we will be out of town then.

Several questions: Can I renew them ahead, and if so what would the expiration data be, 3 months beyond the current expiration date or 3 months from the date I actually pay for the renewal?

Also, originally both my husband and myself purchased Florida Resident Seasonal Annual Passes. When my grandkids came this summer, I upgraded my pass to the Florida Resident Pass without the blackout dates. When we go to renew them, do we have to buy the same kind of pass that we now have? If we prefer to purchase the pass that is just for the weekdays, can we get a 3 month extension of those also?

Sorry for all the questions, but I can't find the answers to these on the official WDW pages.

Thanks so much,

Mary Lou

Mary Lou,
You are able to renew your pass 30 days prior/after your expiration date. If your trip is outside of this window, call the hotline or renew online and you will then get the extra three months.

Your expiration date will be three months from your current exp date. ie Dec 1st is your current exp date. You renew on Nov 1st, your exp date will now be three months from Dec 1st. If you renew Dec 15th, your new exp date will still be three months from Dec 1st.

You are able to renew as an Annual Pass or downgrade to the Seasonal Pass. I am not sure if the Weekday pass allows for the 3 month extension, I thought I heard it does not have the offer for new or renewals.

What are the blackout days for the Florida Resident Seasonal Pass? and does it include parking or no?
Typically, it's two weeks at Spring Break, part of June, all July and first week or so of August, and two weeks at xmas/nye. Dates vary by year.

Parking is NOT included.

That's correct.

NEW AP's must be a Florida resident to get the 15 months. Offer runs through December 31, 2009.

RENEWAL AP's are for FL resident -or- non-FL resident. Offer runs through August 31, 2010.

It's two separate promotions.

Hmmm....well, then I read something on their site wrong, or it was just misleading. I thought anyone could get new 15-month APs till end of this year. I'll have to go re-read the site.

Sorry for the wrong info.
