Thoughts on our current dinner line up for Disney dining plan?

Hi there!

My DH and I have a tradition of Rose and Crown for the first night of our trip. We love it! Boma was also great - i'm a some what picky eater though. The pineapple upside down cheesecake changed my life though! :lol: We didn't care for Whispering Canyon - the bfast was good food but the atmosphere we didn't like. I love themes - but this was over the top.

Great choices.... Just know that if you are not an adventurous eater, Boma might not be the place for you.

Ohana - the bread is so yummy here. Good choice.


Whispering Canyon - Food was good but I just could not handle the interactiveness of it all. I was a nervous wreck. Everytime I needed to ask for something, be it a refill of my drink or an extra napkin, I was terrified that I would be paraded around the restaurant like an idiot. Not my cup of tea at all. I like my meals to be a bit more low key. But I did really enjoy the food.

Rose Crown and Pub - Ashamed to admit that I've never been here

Tepanado - An absolute fav.

Kona Cafe - Top 5 choice for a meal at Disney for sure. Can't go wrong here in my opinion.

Boma - Not sure which meal you are having here, but we went for breakfast and loved it! The juice is to die for and I loved the choices offered on the buffet. I've never been for dinner though.

Ohana - tons of food, very good! Come with an appetite. Fun environment.

Whispering Canyon - Never been

Rose Crown and Pub - I'm not a fish & chips eater, but I've sat with others while they ate here and they enjoyed it. Great view of IllumiNations.

Teppan Edo - My favorite place to eat in the World Showcase. It's always been consistently amazing.

Kona Cafe - My favorite place to eat in Walt Disney World. The food & service are both awesome. I love visiting the Polynesian too, its beautiful.

Boma - I liked it here, my husband did not. I think it's harder for a picky eater to find a lot they will eat. But if you like to branch out, you won't be disappointed.

My wife and I ate there and didn't have a problem with all the interactiveness...and now I've been reading about it all over these forums. Then again, we were seated in the back. The food was very good, and the only problem I had were the ribs. When I bit into them, it seemed as though there were no bones because they were so cooked (or something) that the bone just fell apart. Made for some dangerous eating.

Final verdict...great, but ask to be seated in the back (near the DVC desk) and stay away from the ribs.

Boo for you! A great menu and if you can sit outside on a nice day, a great atmosphere.

been to 2....

We've been to two on your list - Kona and Rose & Crown. Both were terrific! R&C had the best dessert I've ever eaten, their Sticky Toffee Pudding and at the Kona we all loved our meals there. As a matter of fact we are most likely going back to both on our next trip......
