Scammers use receipts that look similar to traditional parking tickets to leave on their victim's windshield. These fake parking tickets often have a QR code that, once scanned by the victims, directs them to a fake website where their money and/or personal information is stolen.

Why would ANYONE just pay something like that? I've gotten a few parking tickets in other cities (last one was in Clearwater Beach and WOW that was a lot of money) but I have never just opted to go to the site and pay the ticket. I will call to verify the legitimacy of the ticket first. Scammers gonna scam.
