Those Old-Timey Photos

I'm not sure? They might not do them anymore. I don't remember seeing anywhere during my last visit.

I do remember getting one of those 'old timey' photos when I was a kid though. It might have been at some kind of 'old town' area in and around Orlando.

It also might have been in Niagara Falls...

Haven't seem them anywhere on Disney property. I am sure there are lots of places in the Orlando area that do them.

There used to be something similiar next to PotC when I was a kid, late 80's to early 90's but it was dress like a pirate. That closed years ago though.

Old timey pictures

My wife and I had our picture taken at the MK at one of those old timey studios. They dressed us in turn of the century coats and had us stand on a stage set that looked like the rear door of the WDW train. That was in 1980. I'd post a picture but I'm not that good on the computer and my kids aren't here to help.

There were three of these studios that I remember. Lafittes Portrait Deck in Adventureland and Lily Langtry’s Old Fashioned Photo Studio in the Village, both closed in 1994. There was also one in the Camera Center on Main street which closed when the Confectionary took over that space.:)

My husband and I got ours taken at the one by Potc when we were there on our honeymoon in 1989. I was bummed when we were planning our first trip with our daughter in 2002 and found out it wasn't there anymore. It was really kind of cool.

I am looking at one right now of my Brother and I around 1986.. Back of train, taken at MK right near where the Walt Disney Story was.

My poor brother was fat back then and his picture pants did fit right and they were turned a bit to the side so it looked like he had a big skirt on...

They used to have a green screen in the firestation next to the Backlot Studio Tour, and you could pick from different backgrounds.

In 1990, they had the firestation set up with a bunch of the props from Who Framed Roger Rabbit? My parents, brother, sister and I took two pictures; one in a restaurant...Goofy, my dad and brother were waiters, my mom, sister and I were seated at the table with Mickey and Minnie, and Donald was hanging from the chandelier (not really sure why). The other picture was with the WFRR characters. Not really sure what we were doing, but I think it was the chase scene in the cartoon car.

In 1996 we went again and this time there were no props from WFRR, just the green screen and some firefighter related stuff. This time we took one picture and it was Wild West styled with all the old timey clothes and a sepia toned picture.

Maybe this was when/where you had your old timey picture taken. I don't think they have them anywhere at WDW anymore.
