Oh well, thanks for the boxers. I didn't realize you could by mesh ones.

Yeah, you can and they leave a really nice impression. :lookaroun

Makes me want to sing,

. . .BORN FREE, as FREE as the WIND. . .

Ahh, such breathability (like that's a word). Comfort with a capital C.

Well Tenchu, I think she has you right where she wants you. Wow, after you type something like that, you kinda see that you are continuously searching for some hidden meaning.

Oh well, back to the original post, Thongs or Ganny Panties. Now I'm not really sure what a Ganny is, but as far as thongs go, what is the point? When is the decision made to just go commando versus wearing what little cloth the thong provides. I am one of the people who believe thongs are meant to be seen and therefore meant to titillate. Why else would the Victorias Secret and other brands put little gems and such on the back panel.

At some point, you just have to learn that you are not as funny as you think

I've never seen that sort of thing. Of course, I'm in the dark by the time such things would be visible (both figuratively and literally).

I hear (or read) what you're saying, but with all the low rider pants out there right now and the popularity of the "Thong", it is sometimes very hard to miss.

I think it is odd that when you see these girls on MTV showing their stomachs, I look at the distance between their belly buttons and the top of their pants and get a rough measurement. I then put that measurement on me and those pants would only come up to my knees, in a relative kind of way.

Psst...boys & girls are built differently. ( and you're just slightly older than the average teenager  ).
We wore hip huggers back in the 70's, but they were never cut that low. Its kinda sad that I can't find a decent pair of pants for my 9 y/o unless I take her to the boys dept. Do sizes 6-14 (kids) have to come in low rise?

Amen to that. I refuse to dress my 5 year old like Ms. Spears or any of her contemporaries. My kids both like the Hilary Duff stuff (what's her show called?) and Kohl's has a decent selection of 'normal' clothes.

And yes, I know the female anatomy differs from the male, I was just commenting on how "LOW" the low riders are getting.

On the original thread post, I assume Ganny Panties are the full coverage type that practically come up to the mammaries?

Indeed they are!

And have hope, other parents. It would seem that the trend is once again swinging... Liv Tyler was on Conan wearing the HIGHEST waisted pants I have ever seen! And she's supposed to be very fashion forward and whatever.

Its Lizzie McGuire and we have some of her stuff here, too. I got some great stuff in Kohl's just before springbreak; its made beautifully and cleans & dries like a breeze (:sohappy: )
Some of the low rise pants barely "cover what she owns" (if you know what I mean). We passed one of katie's friends (about 15) and she had on low rise shorts & a low cut belly shirt. Seems she dresses like this in school too.

And yes, Granny panties cover just about the entire body.

When the mammaries sag below the navel, that's not too difficult.
