This year's Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade will be based around 'Frozen'

Poor Big Hero 6!

The new kid on the block gets very little mention on the parks blog, or in the parks... And so we are back to the attitude that until it brings in billions we'll just not really mention it... Just like frozen was!

You can tell a lot from these Frozen based threads about who on this forum has anything to do with either owning, running or managing a successful business/company. Its very simple here people, Frozen is a HUGE money draw. Little girls EVERYWHERE are in love with Anna and Elsia (even Olaf has a huge following) so why should Disney stop incorporating them in anything right now? Mommy and Daddy are still opening up their wallets for their precious little girls so until the movie dies out and the product stops moving off shelfs Frozen is going to be a major part of everything Disney and I personally have zero issue with that. I don't know why so many of you all do.

Doesn't bother me at all. The special has been stale for years now.

That is true.

I'm not at all against the Frozen-ifcation of the Christmas parade, it needs SOMETHING different, and I get wanting to capitalize on it's popularity but at the same time, there's a point it's going to be overdone and overkill and this is bordering that, but the Frozen fanatics will never admit it's too much. But I'm going to have an open mind watching how they handle it all. I really liked the Frozen Cinderella Castle lighting show, so who knows?

I'm not shocked kids love the movie. The writing for the movie has to be some of the most juvnile writing for a Disney movie. Of course it appeals to kids.

It's made over a billion dollars worldwide, broke records in Japan, and the soundtrack was #1 on the Billboard chart. It appeals to more than just kids.

And for as many who truly do love it, there are also those parents and kids who love it just because everyone else does.

That's a bit condescending and dismissive. I loved when I saw it the first weekend it was out, so no, people don't love it just because everyone else does. You don't like the film, fine. That's why Baskin-Robbins has 31 flavors, because people like different things. But just because you like chocolate, don't think your tastes are more refined and nuanced than the people who enjoy vanilla or strawberry.

Just heard Fantasmic is being changed to Frozentasmic. The water lagoon will be changed to ice. Elsa will appear and fight off the several Arendelle villains including the Duke of Weasletown before he transforms into the Dragon of Weasletown. At the finale, Anna will be driving Kristoff's sleigh with all the characters following closely behind. Elsa will then appear at the top of the mountain in her ice dress and then magically appear on the bottom of the stage in her "coronation" dress before uttering that classic phrase: "Some, magical ice powers, huh? Uh huh."

See it in your mind and you will find that you'll love Frozen
Mysteries and magic, ice castles fantastic.............
I think you are joking? But it sounds soo plausible.

I think you're taking too waaaay much offense to my post.

I haven't said any of what you're saying I did. You like the movie. That's great. I'm happy you do. Like you said, it's a matter of taste.

And condescending? That's the pot calling the kettle black here. Let's not.

And people stop to watch a trainwreck. So what that it grossed that much? Because it made money I have to like it and that justifies liking it? Not sure I'm getting that point but again, hey, you like it. I get it.

And FYI, I didn't say EVERYONE loved it because others do. I can make it more clear I suppose - For as many who love it, there are probably just as many who love it because others do or want to partake in it's popularity.

Heaven forbid I don't love Frozen! Says the person who liked the Frozen Holiday Wish and also who likes the characters used on OUAT. So please, stop.

I wasn't condescending then but you really took my post as if I personally offended you.

And how many parents are sick of hearing the song? Hearing their kids sing it? Come on .... the movie is hardly the be all end all of animated films and people falling over themselves for it ... eh. Sorry if my post bothered you, I actually like a lot of your posts so not sure why you jumped on me.

And the ice cream analogy is overused.
