Does anyone know how long i have to stay on the Disney College program

Program specifications should be in there. There are usually 5 and 8 month programs, unless your school is on quarters rather than semesters. In which case yours may be 4 months or 6/7. Check the website, it will have more specifics. Also, when you attend the meeting before your interview, they can answer exact date range specifics for you.

Be sure to check the headings you place your questions under, as this is a forum for the Disney Vacation Club. You would want to place a question like this under the College Program Board. Thanks, and welcome!

There are several program lengths. Spring/Fall- about 4 1/2 months (Jan-May or Aug-early Jan). Spring/Fall Advantage- about 7 1/2 months (Jan-Aug or May-early Jan). And there is the summer alumni program, and the new first-time CP program- which are just 2 1/2 months (May-Aug). The summer alumni program is for repeat CPs, and can do their old role, or a different one if they want. The first-time CP program is just custodial and Quick Foods.

Actually first time CP programs cover Merchandise, Lifeguarding, Attractions, entertianment and Table Service F&B as well. There just tend to be more open spots in Merch, QSR, and Guest Show.

Nope. The first-time program is only quick foods and custodial. This is from www.wdwcollegeprogram.com:
Summer Program

This Summer Program, which is open to all applicants, offers a three-month work experience in Quick-Service Food and Beverage or Custodial. Due to the short duration of the Summer College Program, participants will not be able to take part in Disney College Program Education classes. However, these participants may take advantage of My Disney Career activities and networking events, as well as all other Disney Learning Center opportunities available to them as part of the Disney Difference.
NOTE:
Quick-Service Food and Beverage and Custodial are the only roles available for this program. Applicants interested in other roles should consider our Fall or Fall Advantage programs.
* Summer Program - interviews are held during the spring semester, and this program spans approximately mid/late May through August.

The summer alumni program is all the roles.

That is correct, but that's not what you said in your original post. your OP said 'first time CP program' not first time summer program. First time CPs are eligible for all I said above. Trust me, it's my job to know.

Yes, but I said the first-time CP is 2 1/2 months long, which IS the summer program. There is only 1 summer program for first-time CPs. The summer alumni program is also the same time period, but for CP alumnis. I know what I'm talking about.

I was just trying to clear up some of the wording for the OP. Because obviously not knowing much about college programs one might read the original post and interpret it as I did. Being that 'first time cp' was a different sentance, it might be interpreted as 'all first time CPs are limited to those roles' especially since no specific roles were named for the regular CPs. No reason to huff, all is well:) Just clearing things up a bit.

MJ is the name of my friend's daughter, who is pretty sick right now. You can find more info about her in the Chit Chat forum.
