This Holiday - 2013 - Remember

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday this year, and continue on to have a fantastic 2014.

While you enjoy your friends and family, presents and passions, treats and time off...I ask that you remember those who can't be with their families this holiday. Those who are serving their respective countries doing their duty.

And while Aunt Betty may annoy you with her halitosis and Cousin John won't shut up about politics...just remember...family is a blessing, and having them around is praise.

Great post - I always tear up watching those reunions when loved ones come home, but there are also so many who don't get those reunions.

Me, too. It kills me, actually. I remember all too well missing my dad and not being with him on holidays. Long periods of absence. I remember being little writing letters & drawing pictures. I was always so worried Dad was cold or lonely. I appreciate so very much the sacrifices our serving men & women make as well as their families, friends, & loved ones. Even after they come home... the price of freedom is never free and can be passed on as future generations are touched by the sacrifices of our serving men & women. God bless them.
