Ride Incident on The Titan at Six Flags Over Texas

i have ridden this rollercoaster twice. the first time i thought it was just me... and then went back last month, and it wasn't just me... it was most everyone in my group!

on a set of helixes, i started to black out, especially in one eye ( i think the right one...) i was completely blind in that eye, and only seeing shadows in the other one... that is some INTENSE G FORCING!

(loved the ride though....)

Ok, why would you want to ride this again if you almost blacked out?

because it was GREAT! From what i hear, most everyone that rides it blacksout in the same parts of the ride... maybe it was designed that way? lol :lookaroun

Just think -- Titan is the watered down version of Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Though, that being said, I didn't come close to blacking out or anything on Goliath.

actually, goliath came first, then titan was built and made a little more intense than goliath... from what i understood on it's history...

My understanding was just the opposite, but I only have a faint recollection as to why. Titan has an extra helix before the MCBR to slow the trains -- but they can still come off the block at the same speed, I suppose.

Does Titan stop hard on its midcourse? Goliath's brakes bite down hard on the train, but I can't even begin to imagine how intense those final turns would be under no braking.

My wife grays out at the base of the drop on Milenium Force, but MF dosn't have too many strong forces to cause much of anything for anyone, even though I enjoy the ride.

The "blackout" when your vision goes is not really a health issue if it happens briefly on a roller coaster. Your body in under stress so it pulls blood and resources away from less important fucntions, like eyesight, bladder, etc.while it pump's faster through the heart.

Same principle when people get scared they make in their pants. Blood is removed from the bladder when your pressure goes up and more is needed to pump through the heart. Same thing when you are cold. :D

Just so you know, it happened to me when I rode it.. I will never ride that again. I hated feeling that.. It was also our whole train.. We all talked about it when we got off. Never again.
