This is the first I've ever heard of this guy. He sounds like your typical conspiracy theorist. Some people just can't be convinced that the government is not out to get us. :brick:

I got the impression that his personal property in excess of 400lbs (which is not approved of) is his statue. Since it's a protest piece, I'm sure he keeps it in full view. His neighbors probably complained, and a local official found some loophole in an ordinance to force him to take it down. That's just my guess.

If you delve further, the 400+ lb item was an old pick up truck! It sounds like the guy had a trshy yard, someone complained to the county, and they came out, took pictures of his property, and fined him. I suspect I didn't take it well! ;) And then his war with the government began. Interesting...but I'm glad I'm not living near him. ;)

We had something similar happen with the neighborhood crazy cat lady...she had almost 100 cats, who were roaming the neighborhood (unvaccinated and unfixed) getting into yards and garbage, which most people tolerated, more or less. When they started getting hit by cars on an almost weekly basis, the authorities were called in by her neighbors, and most cats were brought to the pound. She posted signs all over her house, and all around the neighborhood calling the city, neighbors, etc murderers and worse. I haven't seen anything in almost a year, so I think she either moved or is in a home. (BTW, I suspect most of our cats started out at her house.)

Man, I saw that on Tampa's Fox channel earlier (Fox 13 WTVT). I think it was back in Aug or early Sept. I went to bed after seeing they were going to talk about this guy and the Huge Butt he made and what he done it for.

The guy lives about 15 minutes away from me. His front yard is full of trucks statues, even a spacecraft.

As I went by his house today he was standing out there with no shirt on holding a Sharpie asking people to sign his as... err statue.
