Pre-Trip This AP ain't gonna use itself!

I'm still in the beginning stages of writing my Trip Report from our visit ten days ago and it's so much easier to not be sad or reminiscent since I have a 4 day trip booked for August at Bay Lake Tower!

Who is going? So far, just this guy:

But I'm sure that will change soon enough. My parents will no doubt join me which is great because our last trip was originally intended to be just us but my sister's family joined (which was great), but the kids will all be back in school in August so now we can have an adults only trip.

I've never stayed at BLT so I'm very excited to try something new. No dining plans yet aside from making my first stop at AK to get a cheeseburger pod. I've been craving one since we left. Of course I'll have a green grog ale to wash it down.

All I need is my safari hat and back pack and I'll be prepared to explore Pandora properly!

That's all for now. I will definitely be planning my park touring as there were several things I did not ride, watch, eat or drink on our last trip which gives me some strategizing to do. Have a great day everybody and I'll be updating this soon. And my TR as well.

OMG. :( Very, very sad news about Boo. I recall when you first got him, and you and your wife gave him a wonderful home. If I'm not mistaken, you had also helped him get back into good health, as I don't think he was in the best shape when you first brought him home. So that leads me to this: it's the quality of life that matters in the end, not the quantity. Boo was so lucky to have the both of you (and Akira), as members of his new family. God bless you all.

Best wishes for your new, lovely dog, Winthorpe Van Allen. He looks like he's enjoying his new family.

So sorry to hear about Boo - losing a pet leaves such a terrible void and I'm glad that Winnie has been able to help fill some of it.
Sorry about Boo. It hurts so much when they're no longer with us.
Sorry about Boo. :(
So sorry about your Boo. It always hurts to lose a furry one, but it's nice you have a young one to direct your energy towards.
So sorry about Boo:(. We have a 10 year old Black Lab that we have to board during our 10 day trip that starts this weekend. We just got her nursed back to healthy condition after she picked up an illness at her regular boarding place earlier this summer. We're not taking her back there and have questioned the new place up and down about how clean they keep things but we're still nervous because we almost lost her. I'm Glad you have Winnie to enjoy, a special pet can never be replaced but it's so nice for you to have someone new to love and take care of.
Sad news - my thoughts are with you
Winnie looks beautiful and he is obviously helping you with the loss

Yes, your memory is correct. We nursed Boo back to health physically and mentally. That is part of the reason it was more difficult with his passing. The time we spent bonding with him and getting him back in shape was a journey we will never forget. He was just so happy to have a family and get to play and run in a yard. Akira is EXTREMELY picky of whom she ill play with. Boo won her over on day one. Winthorpe took a few days but I think it was mostly because he can keep up with her speed when they run and play, lol.

And FYI for anybody wondering how or why we chose Winthorpe Van Allen as a name..... Winthorpe is in homage of Dan Akroyds character in Trading Places (a favorite movie of ours) and the journey his character goes through....and Van Allen is for the lethal radiation belts that surround Earth that are silent but deadly and nearly impossible to pass through without causing serious damage (which will goe in step with his protection training once complete)

Feel free to mention your favorite snacks too!!!
In answer to your query:
I love the Creme Brulee at Les Halles, and will def. be having some of that on this trip
I am hoping to find out what those Pulled Pork Nachos at The Poly's Cap'n Cook taste like, b.c. they look delectable!!
I'm returning for another Cheshire Cat Tail, OK...so it's just a sugary colorful plate full of fun, but, YUM!!!!

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Boo. Lets all hope that we all have that kind of love on the way out...

On a happier note, I'm glad to see the start of a new trip report. Your previous trip report with the phone in all the ride photos is tough to beat, but I really think if the safari hat is on in every photo this trip report could top that...just sayin.
