I just got back from an errand to the Lego store at Downtown Disney for a birthday gift, and all the electronic signs on the streets leading up to Disneyland on Harbor and Katella were flashing "Disneyland Park Full!" and "California Adventure Available". Fearing a madhouse at the Downtown Disney parking lots, I pulled in to the parking structure and every toll booth had the same bright red flashing sign "DISNEYLAND IS FULL".
The trams were packed full of people arriving and leaving from the structure. The lovely young lady on the back of the tram doing the PA announcements on the way to Downtown Disney stated Disneyland had added a third Fantasmic! tonight at 11:15PM and that DCA had extended its hours to an 11:00PM closing time with elecTRONica going through closing time "Due to popular demand". I love it when they use that line to explain that the place is packed to the rafters! :lol:
On top of the latest financial report from Bob Iger this week that said attendance and spending at Disneyland were both up in the fall quarter and were outpacing declines in same at Disney World, it appears good 'ol Disneyland USA is going like gangbusters as we head into the last six weeks of 2010 and another busy holiday season.
Anyone here in the park on Friday night? Was it miserably painfully crowded, or just merely really super crowded?
