Thinking about visiting DLP in a few weeks

I have a work related conference that I need to attend Oct. 3-Oct. 13 in Brussels Belgium. I am taking my wife along with me. My questions are for people who are maybe familiar with the area. Looking online, I see that Brussels is about 165 miles from Paris. What is the best way to get there. We will have a car but I was curious about maybe a train or something similar. Once we get to Paris, how do we get to the Park? Should we maybe take 2 days or would 1 day cover the important stuff? I mainly want to see Phantom Manor. But of course I'd love to see everything. Any help is appreciated.

When I went, I had a Eurorail pass, so I took the train from Brussels to Paris. From there I took the RER to Marne la Valle. That station is in the Disneyland Resort Area.

I took 3 days to see both parks. You can do it in 2 if you don't see any of the cloned attractions. (attractions that exist in WDW or DL)

I'm pretty sure you can take a train from Brussels directly to Disneyland Paris (Marne la Vallee - Chessy station). The stop is literally steps from the parks. If you instead take a train to central Paris, the RER train (essentially a commuter train) will get you to DLRP in about 40 minutes or so.

2 days would be preferable. There's a couple of recent threads in this section that talk about which attractions you shouldn't miss. The list is longer than one might think. Eliminating those that are flat-out clones of DLR/WDW attractions, I'd put these on the list for a fan of Disney parks:

Space Mountain
StorybookLand
Sleeping Beaty Castle walkthrough
Pirates of the Carribbean
It's a Small World
Adventure Isle
Swiss Family Treehouse
Big Thunder Mountain
Phantom Manor
Cinemagique
Animagique
Armageddon
Crush's Coaster

Throw in a few favorites like Buzz, Tower of Terror, Peter Pan's Flight, Captain EO, Star Tours, etc....and two days will go quickly.

I would say 2 days would enough to cover most things in both parks especially as the schools are back but we did find that because they offer kids under 7 stay and get in free that there were a lot of parents and young kids. The main effect this had was making the family rides extremely busy and the rides with with the tallest height restrictions deserted we could walk on Space Mountain, Aerosmith and Indy with at most 5 min wait and then Big Thunder was 1hour 45 min at one point because the younger kids could meet the restrictions!
