Pre-Trip Think the undoable and do the unthinkable

I have some great news! Last November we decided not to go back to WDW in October 2015. The flights from Amsterdam to Orlando were much more expensive so we decided to postpone it to 2016. Maybe some short trips to DLP and a summer vacation in Southern Europe was what we wanted to do!

But when we got married in 2010 we said that in the year we are married 5 years we go to Florida!

Then we try to find a decent summer vacation and well.... when we compared it to the prices we have to pay for a WDW trip in October..... :)

So we thought, what the heck! Let's do it! And do it even better than last October! Let's go into a Disney hotel! And we are married 5 years by the time we are in WDW!

So guess what, we booked our trip for October 2015! WDW here we come again! We booked a room in the All Star Movie Resort from October 16th until October 24th :)

Update 02-02-2015: When we booked the trip we tried to book a room in the Port Orleans French Quater, but it was all fully booked. But last Friday I found out that the resort was open for bookings again. So I called the travel agency and guess what?? We upgraded to Port Orleans!!!!!!!

Update 24-06-2015: Guess what :) We booked another WDW trip! October 2016 will be the second future visit!! And with a lot of advantages :) 200$ gift card, free Memory Maker, Ultimate tickets for 14 days for the price of 7 and a free dining plan! And this time we are staying at Port Orleans River Side!!

Who:
Me, my wife Ria and our daugther Sacha (last time we went with a group of 7, now just our family)

When:
October 16th - October 24th (so we can go to the Not So Scary again!)

Where:

So from now on I will keep you informed when there is news from this side of the ocean!

We are really thrilled we are coming back to WDW! The feeling is very good but is getting better by the day!

I watched the video you attached of Baron 1898. Very interesting. I loved how it goes down into the steam. Pretty scary and I don't think I'd have the courage to ride. I would still love to visit De Elteling though. The theming looks great! It looks like a fun park.

It's a pretty scary ride watching it from the outside and on the movies. And during the waiting time (we did it directly after opening of the park, so the line was about 1 hr, but normally during opening hours it is a between 120-150 minutes que. But then again when on board the only scary thing is the 4 seconds hanging time :) The ride is marvelous! For the rest De Efteling is great park. The have some great ride, the thematisation in great! Also they have a fairytail forrest which is great, especially for young children. Overal a great park with about 4 million visitors a year. We mostly go twice a year. Once in summer, every Saturday in July en August the opening hours are 10.00-0.00. And once during winter when they have a lot of extra's because of winter. So if you are in the Netherlands someday... visit De Efteling :)

Enjoy the show next Monday!!
Was just talking about it not five minutes ago! How funny is that? Telling my wife and son about the added Led Zep stuff last night, too. They played Lucifer's Hand last night as well.
I took a few videos myself but I dont have a youtube acct so I cant load them here. Ive been following along each night at U2gigs.com.

Really excited about Monday. We wont be on the floor this time, but thats fine for Brayden. Hes only 12 and Im not sure I want him on the floor yet. If they come back to the US soon (stadiums maybe in the next year or two) Ill get GA for him then.

Totally forgot to reply to this one great that we thought the same thing with an ocean in between! I follow u2tours.com and i was awake 2 times to watch the meerkat part of the show with the video fan on stage

Here there are also rumours fir stadiums in 2017. U2 seems to play indoors in South America and Asia and Down Under in 2016.... We'll see about it!

Someday we are in Disney in the same timeframe then we can grab a beer and discuss some U2 LOL!

Yeah!!!! I was just about to send a reply!! You got Two Hearts!!!! Seems like a great show! How was it for Brayden??
He really enjoyed it. Of course we tried to prepare him for how loud it would be, but I think he was still surprised. He said it sounds different in concert. And he's right. Their music is so good live!

I really wanted Out of Control, but Ill take Two Hearts. Just read that it hadnt been played since december of 89 and only only the second time since 85! Also saw that October was on the list, but didnt get played. Too bad. At least I saw it last weekend, right? The Troubles was a cool addition, too. Bono had some voice issues late. He didnt sing the end of With or Without you and did ad lib at all. You can see he was messing with his throat and asked the crowd for help. He sang almost none of One either. But that said, this was the best sounding concert of the three. Its also alot louder on the floor and the sound isnt as good as the seats we had tonight. I enjoyed checking ou th the screen. Its a part of the show you miss from the floor.

Ill post a few pictures tomorrow. Going to head to bed now. Talk more U2 soon!
