Things that home that make you think of Disney

I was in my kitchen today looking at the snow outside and peeling an orange. All of a sudden I was transported back to myself as a seven year old riding Horizons with my parents and rounding the corner to the farm scene and smelling the oranges. :)

I really really miss that ride and wish I could share it with my daughters. :(

Whenever there is a thunderstorm my daughters run to smell the air and say - mama - it smells like the Land! :sohappy:

How great it is that some smells and sounds bring you back to Disney when we are sitting at home - what places do this for you?

I miss Horizons more than any extinct Disney attraction....and I even still like it more than many current Disney attractions. :)

There is a wooden bridge in the parking lot at our mall that goes over a lake...it smells exactly like POTC. I drive over it with the windows down every weekend, sometimes twice:D

I posted this in another thread but I will post it again.

When doing some laundry, I was using Tide Mountain Spring detergent on the hot cycle and it smelled exactly like the Disney buses! I've done it quite a few times since and I still think it smells like the Disney buses. I know that sounds crazy but just for that few seconds (that i'm leaning over the washer sniffing the soapy water:lol:) it takes me back to Disney.

I have an older heater that smells like the burning library in Spaceship Earth.

LOVE THAT SMELL!

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Me too - it was like they ripped my heart out when they took it out! I was like - really?? I love EPCOT and just wish they would work on FW more - with technology so around us and all the new shows in Disney Channel they should be busting it out.

The worst: leaving the WDW vacation DVD in the DVD player before you leave for vacation and finding it in there right when you get back and are going through WDW withdrawal.

Damp rain ususally smells like something similar to WDW whether that be Small World, Pirates, or even Splash Mountain.

I am not a wine drinker, but if I am around someone who cracks open a bottle of wine I immediately think of Philharmagic
