edit: oh nooooooow i see it, weird
It looks to me like the "spark" of imagination that is in the process of creating the arm and wand. Now you know why Dreamfinder has taken it on the lamb...:lookaroun

OK that is just the grossest thing I have seen in awhile. Marketing dropped the ball on this one. That is horrible. Mickey looks like a gay canadian lumberjack!

I love seeing any of the retro type characters coming out. I hate it when the put them to pasture. Alot of people know wh o he is when they go, their kids might not but who cares they are paying for the trip. Keep some stuff around for them.

I am with Grizz on this. Change can be good if done correctly. The new version of this ride is total garbage. A lot of the rooms of the attraction are almost empty with tons of wasted space. Come to think of it the whole attraction is now a waste of space....

Then what we have here is a bit of a miscommunication, because when you say legend... I say Museum... Exactly the type of thing that Walt was trying to avoid.
Walt's statements about his theme parks were that he wanted them to be in constant change. Heck, he called for the removal of 7 attractions at DL himself. Change at WDW is inevitable, and thusly should be regarded as a GOOD thing, attraction change, become focused on another idea, carve their own history, then are allowed to become heritage... When they are gone. My favorite attraction in all of WDW is The Jungle Cruise... Will I whimper if they change it? Will I start letter writing campaigns if they remove it for something else?
Not at all, Walt would have wanted it that way. I'm not speaking ex cathedra here either. Walt wanted change, wanted his park to be unlike his movies, untouchable after they went to print. JI left, for various reasons, and became an agent of change, which is truly what WDW is all about. Will it change again? Count on it. Will it change to your specifications? I doubt it. But, I do know one thing... I will enjoy every minute of any Disney vacation I take, and relish in the changing World around me....
So help me Walt

Its probably a very simple answer in some factory in china they determined that they had an excess of mickey dolls so they said lets see here, I can stick a beard on this guy and he almost looks liek dream finder so what the heck its cheaper than a whole new doll so we'll have mickey going native, next on the scene mickey survivor we'll see whats under the suit when mickey, minnie, pluto and the gang are put on a desert island and have to get their own food and comeplete in stupid and pointless competettion. Its ABC's way of getting good ratings and this is spill over into the park.

I was trying to eat my lunch when I read this thread...:hurl:

That has got to be the ugliest stuffed animal that I have ever seen. I actually feel bad for it.

Are you guys sure that's not supposed to be the Yeti for EE?

Be advised that both the plush and the pin are limited edition items. The plush costs $11.00 and is limited to 2,000 while the pin costs $8.95 and is limited to 1,500. Better get 'em while you can. They're only going to be sold in the 4 parks and the Marketplace at WDW. No mail orders.

Yea I saw that about a month ago. I can imagine the kids going "Mommy whos Dreamfinder?" They wouldn't know since Disney took him away.

I totally agree -- it's devistating that today's kids have no idea about the wonderful historical legacy of the parks, or of attractions past...

Bring back Dreamfinder!!!!!

Mickey as Dream Finder is really bad. However, get over it guys Dream Finder is not coming back. He is off to that fictional character place in the sky.
HEre in lies the problem I have with this doll.
Why dress Mickey up Like Dreamfinder when most children and alot of adults have no idea who dream finder is and don't make the connection if they are not going to bring dreamfinder back in some fashion? could this be a precursor to a return of dreamfinder is some sort of capacity? maybe not in the ride itself, but some other way?

True, but are there that many "geeky fan-boys" that they would make a true profit from this doll?
Considering that this is a LE item (with only 2000 available), I don't think they are going for mass-profit.
