I can take Nightmare Before Christmas or leave it alone (in other words, meh) and I'm glad the Florida Mansion isn't subjected to the Nightmare overlay as per California's. I think that overlay is tacky and overdone. JMO.

I agree Tokyo's version of it just looks awful..

The overlay in Anaheim is a far inferior version of the original attraction. It looks like the kind of elaborate holiday displays that big department stores would put up seasonally.... which is fine for department stores, but counts as a down-grade in the perfect-as-is haunted mansion. I'll also take Grim Grinning Ghosts any day over the forgettable music in the Nightmare Before Christmas.

I'm glad Disney World never went this route. I wouldn't mind a Nightmare Before Christmas attraction, but not at the cost of losing the regular Haunted Mansion even temporarily.

I'd hate to see that tacky overlay in Florida. I'm not a fan of overlays in general (although I'll cop to enjoying the Jingle Cruise version of the Jungle Cruise!) -- it's just a lazy way of pretending you're offering something new when you've really just messed up something that was good in its own right to begin with.

I'd be delighted with a unique, standalone, permanent attraction devoted to Nightmare Before Christmas, however -- it might fit well in Hollywood Studios. As the OP indicated, there are myriad directions such an attraction could take.

I would much rather the Mansion recieve a Zootopia overlay ...

That was on TV last night.

But no, I still haven’t seen it.

Like when we decorate our homes for the holidays?

Re: TNBC: I never enjoyed the movie. I tried watching it again a couple of years ago and just don’t appreciate it. I know some people go nuts over it.

But I wouldn’t mind an attraction, and it makes sense with the popularity of the holiday parties (even outside of traditional holiday times.)

I wasn't a big fan of "Nightmare Before Christmas" film, but I do enjoy the overlay in DL. I love the idea of same attraction with a seasonal change, the haunting music throughout and the gingerbread smell!!

No, no it doesn't. If it is free standing, I'm OK, but I do not in any way, shape or form want HM overlayed. I saw it at Disneyland and was massively unimpressed. Alone, OK, but like the commercial on TV... Don't mess with my Mansion. We don't need the Haunted Mansion lost to us for 4 or 5 months.

Unless, like myself, I wanted to see the original Haunted Mansion, and couldn't because of that IP. It was my one and only opportunity to see Disneyland Haunted Mansion and instead I got the overlay. I almost didn't get to even see that because it had been closed down for over a month while the overlay was being done and just happened to open on my last day there.
