Theme Park View?

Just checking the price difference for the Grand Floridian, and I would love to have a view of the lagoon. But for just $134 more, I can get a Theme Park View...does a Theme Park View AUTOMATICALLY mean I get a view of the 7 Seas Lagoon? And if I get a Club Level Standard View, I get a view of a pool or Marina - where is the marina in relation to the 7 Seas Lagoon?

I don't think Disney guarantees anything but I've never had that room at Grand - only CR and Poly. There really is nothing like a theme park view though. It's totally worth it.

You can't have a theme park view room at the Grand Floridian without seeing at least some of the lagoon. But your view will depend upon what building you are in. We stayed in Conch Key and had a fantastic view of the Magic Kingdom, and we were right on top of the northwest part of the lagoon which included watching them park the Electric Water Pageant each night after the shows were over. And we could see the Contemporary also.

Or you could just pay for a Lagoon View and possibly be placed on the other side of the property and face the Polynesian and NOT see the Magic Kingdom, but that won't happen if you are specifically asking for and paying for the Theme Park view. Either way, with Lagoon View or Theme Park view you will see at least some of the lagoon.

The theme park is across 7 Seas Lagoon so if you book a Theme Park View, you'll be looking at part of the park across the water.....not necessarily the castle, though.

The GF changed their room categories a few months ago...a Club Level Standard room is in the main building and the views will be either the Beach Pool and the wedding pavilion and Polynesian resort past that (part of the lagoon, too) or the courtyard pool and garden walk way areas.

To get a marina view from the main building you would have to book a theme park view club level room in the main building and then from the balconies of these rooms, looking out past the marina is the lagoon and then the castle past that. I just got back from the Grand & had this view. It's gorgeous. I posted a lot of pics on my facebook page and my other pages. If you want to know more about the views and/or anything else about the Grand Floridian, you can private message me.

Happy travels,
D

Not sure if this is any help, we booked a Lagoon View at GF and stayed at 'Boca Chica' Buildling, the Lagoon was right in front of our balcony and the Castle was to our Left, we had a lovely view of the lagoon and the castle and we were also far enough away from Mk to not feel on top of it, it was also a good place to see 'Wishes' from the balcony!

For an anniversary a few years back, we booked an "attic" room at GF with theme park view, it was the top floor at the end of the building and you looked directly at MK, it was wonderful, and the Attic room had high sides on the balcony so you could sit there in your pajamas and no one could see you,

We loved it, so romantic!

Conch Key, Sago Cay, and Boca Chica all have MK view rooms. Boca Chica, as mentioned before, casuses you to look to the left from your balcony to see MK and the Castle. Conch Key has the Boat Dock right by you which can be a little loud at times. Sago Cay is the farthest and most secluded of all the buildings. Also be aware that some of the MK view rooms have trees directly in front of the balconies, blocking your view. If you do stay in one of those rooms, and aren't satisfied with the view, don't be afraid to have the front desk move you. You're paying big money to stay there and should be satisified.

I have stayed in Big Pine Key and had a lagoon view that looked directly across from Poly - say MK perfectly and could hear all the music and whistles from there & saw fireworks perfectly as well. Bonus to this building is it is pretty close to main building.
