I am in my Computers class at school right now, but that doesn't mean that I can't think of ideas! I just thought of an idea for a new theme park resort that would go in Missouri, Illinois, or Kansas. It would be called Disney's Mid-West America Resort. It would have the following:

Parks/Areas:
Magic Kingdom
Downtown Disney

Hotels:
Disney's Twin Pines Lodge
Disney's Wonders of the World
Disney's Grand Mid-Western

Water Recreation:
Dixie Harbor

Water Parks:
Castle Cascades

Magic Kingdom would have seven sections:
1. Main Street, USA
2. Fantasyland
3. Adventureland
4. Tomorrowland
5. Toontown
6. St. Louis Square
7. Frontierland

Downtown Disney would have three sections:
East Side
Market Place
Pleasure Isle

Disney's Twin Pines Lodge would be a rustic woods theme. Much like the Wilderness Lodge or Grand Californian.

Disney's Wonders of the World would be like World Showcase except changed to a HUGE hotel! Each of the 12 lands would hold about 100 people.

Disney's Grand Mid Western would be themed to the old-time Mid West.

Dixie Harbor is not a water park. It is a lake for boating, swimming, skiing, etc. There would also be a restaurant and a beach for lounging, dining, or swimming.

Castle Cascades is a castle theme water park.

Ill pst more later!

Actually, this sounds preety good so far my only comment is with two Magic Kingdoms on each coast with virutally the same lands, I would think a 3rd american park woudl need more different lands, stlois square is a good start, keep it going.

GREAT IDEAS! That would be so awesome to have a Disney theme park near where I live, but the problem is that the parks would have to be seasonal scince it gets cold in the winter here. Disney parks are never seasonel. I suggest that you come up with some ways to keep the park open ( More indoor rides etc. ). About St. Louis landing, why don't you change it to Laclede's Landing. Laclede's landing is a small area near downtown St. Louis where people first settled in St Louis. It could be set when settlers first came to St. Louis and settleing there. We don't want anything that resembles anything plainly modern. Disney is a complete escape from the real world where everyone lives now days. Can't wait to hear the rest of your ideas.

Well first of all to name any mere rollercoaster Mission:Space is an injustice to the ride by the same name at EPCOT

Second, as I said before I third American park must be very different from Disneyland and MK to succed, so far this MK is not unquie at all alot of cloned rides and the few unqiue attrations, the few that are unique are like A or B ticket attractions nothing to give the park a unique draw.

You need unique anchor attractions for each land, and it wouldn't hurt to at the very least re-name the lands (even if they are the same content) to give the illusion of freshness, still keep the classics and favorites, but give people a reason to come to this park.

Well don't change the names of all of the lands. Keep the names, Toon Town, Adventureland, oh heck, keep all of the names the same. IT's better that way. It is a Disney tradition for the lands and names, but they only change if the theme is different or to make foreign countries to understand the theme. Trust me on this. Oh, by the way, what happened to Frontierland?

I changed Frontierland to Pioneerland, it was the very last one on the list for MK. But I see what you are saying about the Disney Tradition thing Imagineer Boy. Cross out the idea to change the names of MK's sections. Keep the changed name for all other parks and areas though! I am not done editing and revising my ride and attraction list so I will post it in about 30 minutes.

HOwever Disney has never built a thrid american park either and since the first to were on the coasts, the one in the middle so to speak needs to be different to survive.

Picture it as a sandwich it is fine to have the same bread on both ends but you want something different in the middle.

ummmmmmmm what changed that looks just like the Orlando version minus St. Louis Square and that is just a clone of Liberty Square with a different name. Think of some new rides not just different names like Rainforest River wich is probally just like Jungle Cruise or Black Beard's Cruise which is probally just gonna be like Pirates of the Caribbean. Sorry man but you need to use your imagination.

Pretty good, but there need to be a few changes.

Main Street USA: Good, but the Mary Popins simulator just sounds realy weird. No offence, but it's kind of stupid in a way.

Fnataseyland: Nice job. Move the Hook's island thing to Adventureland. Are going to have more rides than that? What about the good dark rides like Peter Pan's Flight, etc?

Toon Town: Make a small seperate area devoted to Winnie the Pooh instead of putting them in Toon Town. Add more stuff to Toon Town besides the character homes.

St. Louis Square: Make it themed to when People were first settleing in St. Louis instead of modern day St Louis. Trust me because I live there (In modern time though:lol: ). Don't add an arch museam because there already is one down town. St Louis is not known for any Haunted Houses. The only house in St. Louis that is claimed to be haunted is the Lemp Manor. Don't even think about themeing it to that because it would be a great insult to the Lemp family who's had an unpleasant history of company failiors and souicides. The Lemp family is claimed to haunt Lemp Manor to this day.

Tomorrowland: Can you add more stuff and be more specific about the lift off ride thing?

Adventureland: Good, except keep the name Pirates of the Caribean instead of Black Beard's sails. As for the Indiana Jones ride, The Ark of the Covanant was not found in a jungle-like area. Theme it to a temple in a tropical region with booby traps, etc.

Frontierland: Nothing to say here! Sounds good.

Please take some of my suggestions especialy on St. Louis square.

Not bad, not bad at all :)

I would change the name of the laughing place show though, it just sounds exsesive to base an attaction of another attraction.

And I would add somesort of ride to St.Louis square, personally as of now I would not want to go there, I think the Phantom Manor would work just fine, this land does not have to be an exact replica of the city, just a romnatizied version, and by romantisizing you can add just about anything you want as long as it fits the theme of the area

Thanks alot for the complements Figment Dream! I really appreciate it. After I posted my last post, last night, I realized the same thing you did. That St. Louis Square does need some kind of ride! I will move Phantom Manor back there and add a new ride called Merimac Caverns. Merimac Caverns would be a replica of the actual thing around St. Louis. You would have to walk through until you come to a large room. Your tour guide says that you must be lost so you turn back but when your go, where you think you cae from, the room is HUGE!!! There are bats on the ceiling and "cars" are waiting for you. The tour guide tells you to get in the cars, which are themed to look like mine trains. The people get in and the cars take off. soon, they come a hault. The tour guide tells you not to move for these parts are hollow underneath and the layer that seperates you and the other floor, is only about 2 inches think. You soon here many cracks and the floor caves in. You train goes by the head first, shooting you into the dark, understory of the cave. Bats can be heard and their eyes can be seen flying not to far above you, these are ofcoarse not real bats. Soon your train comes to a ramp that leads to the upper story. The train goes up it and you arrive at the opposite side of where you entered the cave. You exit the cars and the ride is over. Tell me what you think!
:sohappy:
