I'm a little late posting my Thanksgiving plate, but here it is now. Mashed potatoes, green beans, baked mac and cheese, dressing with canned cranberry sauce (I love the canned stuff), cornbread, ham and creamed corn. No turkey this year. Desserts were later and but no pics.

Look delicious, and a real good start for the first plate full. And, we both have some type of pasta on the plate, although yours looks much better than my mac and cheese.
Thank you I made the marinara the day before because it takes 7 hours to make not the mention grating a couple of the 4 cheeses by hand that went into it.. The masked potatoes had smoked ham gravy on them. James is the weirdo that likes blueberries and orange in his cranberry sauce:rolleyes: I finally got a bit of sleep last night:inlove:

I like freshly grated cheese too. For anyone that has a KitchenAid mixer, they sell a set of grater attachments. I recently tried it for the first time and grated all this cheese in under 5 minutes! It was a major time/effort saver.

My cranberry sauce recipe also calls for the grated zest of 1 medium-sized orange, and 1/4 cup of orange juice (along with 1/2 cup of water). Plus 1/2 to 3/4 cup of honey. :hungry: :hungry:

Gotta say, though, I never heard of anyone putting blueberries in cranberry sauce?

Big ole country fried steak biscuit from Bojangles this morning. My wife added her own scrambled eggs and cheese to it and the hash browns came from Hardees. She also stopped at RaceTrac for a huge diet coke because we like the pellet ice from RaceTrac, so she made three stops on her breakfast trip this morning. I am blessed to have such a thoughtful wife.

There isn't much James won't put blueberries in. Which may not be a bad thing because we usually freeze at least a bushel every year. He even has a recipe for a sauce that goes on meat which is rather mellow and not too sweet

I just got that attachment for my birthday in September, but I haven't tried it yet... good to know it works well!
