When I went to get gas in Fredericksburg VA, I went inside Royal Farms for the first time. I saw the location had an enormous display of good looking fried chicken. I thought nothing of it. Royal does not exist south of VA. Next time I'm near DC I will try out their chicken.

It is like a Wawa, but as you may have guessed from my exchange with @trr1 and @Lilofan ...Royal Farms is set apart from Wawa due to their offering of their "famous" fried chicken.
