The gov is a freak. What is up with the heads?!![]()
The gov is a freak.
The show is deliberately being different than the comics. They will follow the basic premise but they do change a good bit. For instance the Governor in the comics was an unemployed hipster that looked like a guy in a biker gang. He was also was about 12 steps crazier in the comic. You could say that again. I have not read the comics. Yet I'm tempted to just to see what his deal is!

Hipster and biker gang.. lol. Strange picture going on in my mind. Looking forward to the next episode, and hope they dive into the Governor a bit more.
Well no one that we liked anyway.RIP T-Dog
The moment he got a scene of actual dialogue I knew he was doomed.
No one else more important died last night...

Last night' show was one hell of a ride. I am normally not very vocal or emotional person during a show, but I screamed out "No!!!!!" when T-Dog got bit.
I think Carl will be a serial killer before he hits puberty.
Same here. The one thing I never thought about was that the survivors were the biggest danger. The zombie threat is predictable and could be mitigated, but people, not so much. You know, I used to look forward to the impending zombie apocalypse until I started watching this show.
I like the prison storyline and setting better than the town, though I'm definitely intrigued by the fish tanks full o' heads.
One of the small pleasures of the show is the satisfying crunch/squish of a sharp object stabbing a zombie in the head. The sound guys do a great job on this show, all-around.
The show seems to be going farther and farther away from the comics. It has always been somewhat different, but it has gotten to the point where you can almost not use the comics as a source of spoilers.Sundays episode was intense to say the least! Surpised they kill her off so early in the season! My friend told me that in the comics ( I have not read) that Laurie is still around for a lot longer, and eventually has her baby delivered by the governor and that both her and her baby die !!!
According to a few interviews I have seen with the actress that plays Lori, she is dead.Wonder if Lori is really dead, didn't actually show Carl shooting her. Wouldn't surprise me a bit to see her again, in dire need of medical attention.
And whatever happened to the father and son Rick left back in the first couple of episodes? Imagine they will re-appear sometime as well.
It is going to be an interesting encounter. That is for sure.Things are not looking good for Merle. You have the new and improved Rick combined with grief and guilt from losing his wife. I think it would be awesome if Merle were to show up and make some smart a comment right off the bat and Rick pulls out his service revolver and offs him without hesitation.
