Should we notify the police that you are being held hostage? I can think of no other reason for you to be posting on here and spending time to post. I can only assume that someone is holding you at gunpoint to click onto this site. Use a non-suspicious safety word and we will notify the authorities to swoop in and save you. Wait, I have a perfect one for you. If someone is forcing you to be here... just type in small letters the word HELP.

No apology necessary -- your thread is fine. Predictably, any criticism of Disney calls out the Pixie Dust Posse, galloping to defend the honor of their beloved multi-billion-dollar corporation -- shooting up the thread with mockery, sarcasm and ridicule, determined to run you and your thread out of town.

And people who dare to say they like anything calls out the Doom-and-Gloomers labeling them as pixie dusters. It is possible to look at WDW objectively and still enjoy your vacation there.

Have you gone to either the Trip Report forum or Trip Planning forum? Because I see them as both as very positive, approachable and friendly parts of the board.

I go to trip planning almost every day posting how many days until my trip. 122, by the way. Not as much to Trip Reports but sometimes. I also enjoy reading restaurants, resorts, and MyMagic+ threads as those posts are seeking genuine advice and I dive in providing it, if able, and seeking it too, especially on upcoming trips!.

And people who dare to say they like anything calls out the Doom-and-Gloomers labeling them as pixie dusters.

Reading the threads in the Trip Report and Trip Planning forums gives the lie to that statement. The number of Disney critics on this forum who join Disney-positive threads to ridicule the posters is a drop in the ocean, compared to the number of members who deliberately join Disney-critical threads for no purpose other than to ridicule them (as many have done in this thread).

The pattern is obvious: some Disney fans are compelled to not only defend Disney from criticism, but also to disparage, diminish, mock, ridicule and attack those who criticize it.

No, it was your joke about an epidemic that's going on at WDW. Personally it was kinda clever, but I understand why it was taken off.

im not saying any names but i hate the same old people complaining on these threads...saying they love disney but...and its because i love disney that i can say with passion they need to fix...

im not talking about anyone or everyone who has complained, but there are a few that complain about everything, it seems. they need to stop bringing me down. for them i say, the beaches are nice around the USA.

can WDW fix them?

Actually much nicer in the Caribbean...that is where our vacation dollars have gone.:)

Despite popular belief, Disney World doesn't excuse you from real life. It might give you a temporary break from your job, the grocery store and the gym, but it's still real life. (But with more baked goods and rides) Real life is imperfect. Disney can't be perfect, because nothing is ever perfect. I think that when people start these rant/complaint threads, the idea is generally to open a rational conversation of constructive criticism, but that seldom happens. I agree that there are certainly areas the company can improve on, but I think as a whole, people need to have more realistic expectations when they go to WDW.

Don't fax your room request...always call it in! Chances are that fax went right in a 'round-file'.

That being said, it would never cross my mind to complain that a room or seating request wasn't being honored, as it is just that: a request.

We just stayed at Grand Floridian and had the opposite feeling......we like Polynesian better. :)
My seating request was due to a handicapped person, but it really was no big deal. I still like the POLY, in fact it's my husband and kids' favorite, but I just felt "happier" at Grand Floridian. I guess I just got "lucky".:) If you stay at any deluxe resort, it's a good thing, quite magical no matter what really.:D
