The Ultimate Sundae at Ghirardelli Soda Fountain.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. This year we tried for the first time the Ghirardelli and it was awesome.I had the Cable Car rocky fudge thing,and my DW & DS shared the Golden Gate banana split,also awesome.Have you tried this place,and if so,what was your favourite.P.S. Has anyone had "The Earthquake " ?

The sundaes are too big for me. I have a cone with a scoop of strawberry ice cream, a scoop of butter pecan, cream and almonds. Heaven.

My favorite: Cookie Bottom Sundae - "half a Ghirardelli chocolate chip cooked served warm under vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, topped with whipped cream, almonds and a cherry"

I leave off the almonds and the cherry- and I think last time I swapped for cookie dough ice cream and dark hot fudge. MMMMMMMMM. I can't wait to have it again!

I have been to DTD about 6 times and did not know Ghirardelli existed until my friend told me about it about a month ago. I know, shame on me. Can't wait to try it next summer!! I'm taking notes on this thread. Thanks.

I haven't tried any of the sundae's but I LOVE getting chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream in a chocolate dipped cone with peanut butter! They put peanut butter in a little "boat" and they give you tons of it! Nom! I'm a chocolate & peanut butter junkie!
