We paid a visit to Shula's here in Indianapolis a few years ago, where everyone in my family got a steak. They were the worst steaks we'd ever had. Tough, gristly, just plain awful. I don't plan to visit another Shula's.

I used to eat steak everywhere it was offered at WDW, but since DDP and the degradation of food quality in general, I've stopped getting steaks there. Sub par meat, at best. We had lunch at Le Cellier in November (because their dinner prices are laughable), and I gave their steak another try. Two thumbs down.

It sounds like some of you fine folks have had some wonderful steak experiences elsewhere on property. I'm taking notes fast and furiously so we can make every attempt to dine at one of these places on our next visit.

My favorite cut (other than a filet) is a New York Strip. I'd love to get some recommendations on awesome NY Strips on Disney property!!!! :D
My wife and I talked about Shula's in Indy just last night and we thought it was OK. Outside of St. Elmo's, I think Flemings has the best steak in the area. I've always been disappointed in steak at WDW, but have yet to try the Yachtsman. Maybe, next trip.

Something is going on with the Shula chain in general, I think. About 5 years ago, I had an amazing meal at the one in Tampa (I have eaten at high end steakhouses all over. I am a steak eater!). I noticed that the a lot of reviews on yelp for several Shulas (in different parts of the country) have showed a real decline in quality. Is the chain going under? I wonder, b/c it is not just a Shulas here or there that seems to have gone downhill. it seems like most or all of them.

I have never had a bad meal at a Flemings.

Good Morning..It's 9.30am..Monday morning...Ive just read Todays food blog review of the above restaurant,so if anyone is thinking of dining here or has already an ADR for Shula's,then it's worth a read..By the way if anyone in your party doesn't like steak, there's always the Australian Lobster at $130.00  . But for the professional pumas if you Finnish the 48 oz porterhouse, you get your name engraved on the wall for all to see..P.S. Before you read the article, grab a napkin to mop up all those juices.;)
